Works like a champion! Out of the box, added oil, hooked to propane, and fired right up. Nothing bad to say about it so far and since this my second Champion generator I don't think I have anything to worry about.
I've only used this generator a few hours on propane. Started easy ran great. Very compact and the handle and wheels make it easy to move around. Keep in mind, it is about a hundred pounds. Also very quit.
This generator compares very favorably with a Yamaha 3000 that I had a few years ago. The noise level seems to be about the same, very quiet for this size unit. It is also lighter by about 40 pounds. It powers my trailer A/C very nicely. The remote start/stop, which the Yamaha did not have, is a very nice feature. The best and last comment is this unit cost about half of the Yamaha.
I have nothing but good things to say about champion generators this is third one I have owned. The reason why purchased this one is because I had two of the 2000W champion generators and I want to streamline it down to one unit. This generator is just as good if not better than Honda or Yamaha units costing three times as much. It also has an EPA emissions rating of 500 hours that rating alone is better than other brands. Unpacked the unit added oil and gas and it fired up first pull with the greatest of ease. Side note this champion 3000W generator did not come with oil like the 2000w units did so you have to purchase your own oil. I can run 15BTU AC on my RV with all the LED interior lights, TV & DVD unit running with no issues at all. This generator is a huge win for those of us who don’t want to spend 2000+ dollars just for a name brand. I recommend this unit without reservation or hesitation it is that good. Price was $ but now I see it's back up to $ not sure why.
