I absolutely love this buffet, not too large and not too small. The cabinets are deep with top/bottom storage for liquor, larger wine bottles, plates, etc. The color is a true image online to match my stained clock above that was originally pine in color.
After reading some awful older reviews, I went ahead and bought this cabinet. It's exactly the size I need, with exactly the functionality I need. That said - there were defiinitely some issues: First - it is advertised as been solid pine, regardless of the finish. Let me be clear - there is no pine in this product. It is painted solid particle board - period. It's still okay for my purpose, but someone really expecting solid pine will be disappointed. Second - I ordered the weathered white finish. There is no weathering about this finish. It's just plain semi-gloss white. Again, still okay for my purpose, but not what I ordered or expected. Third - yes, there are LOTS of parts. They are clearly labeled, and if you have some experience with this kind of assembly, it's not too bad. I assembled this by myself, and took my time (important!). Study the instructions carefully, and hold the parts up to each other to be sure you understand. There were some mislabeled screws, and one completely unlabeled packet - still, I figured out how to make it work. Once assembled, my cabinet is sturdy with no wobble. Given the design and purpose, I felt there should be 6 hinges instead of 4, we'll see. There are a total of 28 pieces, and 244 items in the hardware list!! It is a SMALL utility pantry - not a full sized pantry. I needed one exactly this size, so I'm very happy with the size, and the stability.
I love this piece. It's very sturdy and high-quality. Metal trim/legs and pine (I think - it smelled like pine when we first got it). My only complaint is that the wood has cracked straight across the top from one end to the other, but I guess it's part of the rustic charm. Looks great in our dining room and offers a LOT of storage.
nice and solid, easy to put together. However instead of a buffet it should be called a wine cabinet. The sheives are set up for wine bottles. I had to hammer that part off in order to use them and that left an unpainted area on the shelf. I just put that on the under side.
