I have to say this unit sucks...in a good way. the workmanship is middle of the road but the mechanics are great. the unit has two fans each with a high and low speed setting and a hood light ... I always recomend the stainless steel model for kitchen hoods because if you get it in colors white etc. the paint always comes off when you really get down to cleaning the hood . some people have said the noise was loud, look when you have a hood with 780 cfm it's got to make some sound , but i find it was not bad...show me a quiet shop vac and i will show you a vacuum that does'nt suck. this unit gets the job done period. also during the summer month if you open up your windows in the house and turn this kitchen hood on it will move air thru-your house just like ventilation. so get it it work!!!

  • Not good as expected

The item has 2-speed push buttons, instead of 3-speed push buttons as stated in the product details. The mount holes are pretty weak. Hopefully they will not break. The installation guide is just a piece of junk.

We cook a lot of Pakistani/Indian food and when we bought our new house, the thing we wanted to install foremost was a good exhaust hood to vent all the cooking smells outside because as much as we love our food, there's nothing worse than a house smelling like fried onions and spices. I bought this hood as it was very reasonably priced for such a high cfm rating (750). Although we had initially thought of installing it ourselves, we decided to use services of a professional in the end. We bought the duct work ourselves. We used 6" galvanized ducting pipes and added a 6" inline fan (about 30 dollars) to the duct work to increase efficiency. We looked up the installation person from *****. He quoted us 145 dollars, but it took quite a few hours to get the job done so calculating the hours, my husband gave 220. We had the duct work pass along the top shelf of the cabinetry to the side of the house. So everything is neat and tidy and the duct work is nicely hidden. If you plan to install the inline fan I mentioned, I recommend you use a professional because the wiring will get more difficult. Our installer wired it so that the fan turns on only when we switch the left fan to the higher setting. We've been cooking a lot now and the fan is performing wonderfully well so far. You can see all the smoke going through the hood. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a very efficient hood.

  • Good Stainless Range Hood
    Verified Purchase

Hood received was quiet and efficient, however, be prepared for extra costs in ducting costs if prior hood did not have the same duct work. Otherwise, product was as described and value priced as compared to similar stainless steel hoods

Beautiful, substantial hood but had to return as I did not realize that it was not ductless.
