I had hoped that this flooring would be more flexible. It turned out to be rather stiff underfoot.

We purchased the entire set for a two car garage and it was easy to install and looks amazing. We did not add anything beneath the tiles and also purchased the ramp edges to use with system. Sold our home and we are taking them back up to use in our new home.

    • Avoid the Beige for a whike
      Verified Purchase

I have recently purchased some samples of the beige tile's and it seems that the tiles have a slight imperfection in their height this causes the floor to look rippled and not go together as smooth as it looks in all the pictures. I spoke with the manufacturer and they agreed that these tiles were defective I reordered hoping that I would get tiles that were no longer defective but it seems that they still have the old ones in stock

    • Looks great in our garage
      Verified Purchase

Placed in our 2 car garage and it looks awesome. We put down roofing paper first and laid on top. I would recommend to cut down noise from the tiles hitting the concrete. This also gives a softer feel when walking. Be sure to leave the 1/4" around the edge as they do expand when the door is open and sun heats them up. Before laying we painted a dark brown all around the edge so give it more of a trimmed finish look due to the gap. We are still able to power wash our floor and the water does not pool. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice finish in their garage.

I LOVE these garage tiles. They look absolutely phenomenal and they were fun to put down! A couple of things I NEED to make sure that you are aware of prior to buying: These are NOT meant to go down any other way than the recommended (square) checkerboard - meaning, dont get wonky like I did and lay them down on a diagonal. I did this and they looked so awesome, I wanted to hang out there all day....until... my wife attempted to pull her SUV in the garage. The all wheel drive on her Yukon Denali force engage the truck's featured "limited slip front differential". This allows one wheel to turn faster than the other - it is pretty common on most SUV's after 2009. So because I did NOT lay the tiles down as they recommended, her front wheels would actually YANK out the locking tires on the right side as she was making the turn into the garage. The fix for this is that you need to buy the front "lip" that they sell as an accessory. However, if you laid it diagonal, then the lip kit doesnt work because the tiles have to be straight for the lip to lock into place. So, the solve was this, I waited till it warmed up again, and I had to pull out everything, pull out the tile, lay it all down correctly (straight square) and then I got the lip kit and now all is fine. The only other complaint that my wife has is that they are loud when you walk on them, and they are, but I dont mind it at all - I have read that others have laid roofing tar paper down underneath the tiles to deaden the sound. The only challenge I have is keeping them clean - You will need to buy some degreaser to clean these tiles as simple mopping solution will not get it. Actually, thats what the tiles are designed to do, trap the muck, grease, and dirt that your garage is exposed to every day.

    • Block Tile floor

The completed floor is so much better than a paint finish. It is about 20% more expensive than a high grade epoxy finish. The colors allow for an easy design in the floor. It provides insulation from the concrete and is easy on your feet. I put 30# roof felt down to quiet the tiles against the concrete. The tiles cover up chips and some unevenness in the floor. It does not support concentrated heavy loads like an automotive floor jack and jack stands. Additional support is necessary or the tiles will puncture. Clean up of the tiles is easy with a vacuum, sweeping or a mop. Easy to install, but better instructions would be helpful. You need a jig saw or band saw to make cutting the tiles easier. I highly recommend this flooring. It has been over 2 years since the floor was installed. They still look good and are easy to clean. Be sure to leave the recommended clearance on the edges for temperature expansion in the summer.

"Can the tile be cut to fit ?"

    • Q:

"Just bought a property with a large garage that has rock floors. Not wanting to spend a lot also not wanting to store somethings on rock. Would this flooring work on top of rock/dirt floor."

      • A:

I don't think that this would work well on any floor that is not completely level. The pieces interlock and need a totally flat surface to rest upon. I wouldn't advise these tiles for the application you propose. Plus dirt will come through the seams if you put it on a surface of dirt. I used mine for a level concrete basement floor and they worked well.

      • A:

I agree. If the floor is not level then the interlocking plastic will allow pockets to form thus result in lifting

    • Q:

"Is this good for holding heavy weight permanently, like for sitting a hot tub on top of it?"

      • A:

Yes. It can hold a heavy diesel ambulance on it sitting in one spot for a long time without showing issues when it is finally moved.

    • Q:

"place in the floor without adhesive? or will have that stick?"

      • A:

Free floating! That makes it very versatile . Love mine will put a narcissist Nc garage later this year

    • Q:

"Can these tiles be assembled in a runner fashion without installing on the entire garage floor????"

      • A:

consider them like a floating floor with out the walls their is nothing holding them in place you can make a runner but it will never stay where you want it

    • Q:

"Can this floor be used for a gym floor?"

      • A:

It is a hard plastic and not designed for that use.

"I live in a state that has a lot of snow. When I pull my truck into my garage and it melts off will it get under the tiles? Thanks Scooter"

    • Q:

"Can they be used on a cement basement floor, then glue a commercial grade carpet on them?"

      • A:

This particular version should not be used as an underlayment for regular carpet. The tiles leave gaps between them in order to make them “breathe”. That could cause the carpet to get moisture under them.
