LOVE these shades but gave this one only 4 stars because for some crazy reason the 98 inch length does not come in a width narrower than 24 inches! I have one set of French doors that are very tall and quite narrow. The narrowest shade in the 98 inch length is too wide and interferes with the door knob and key hole. I need a 22 inch width which is unavailable in the longer length. The 72 inch length shade however, CAN be ordered in a 22 inch width but it is too short! VERY frustrating! I ordered nearly 30 of these shades for every room of my home. They all fit perfectly except the two for the narrow French doors to the patio. I must always leave them rolled up to look good which is fine most of the time. But when I want them closed they are about a foot too short, which is not a great look! I also have 6 very narrow little windows (10w x 30"H) that I would LOVE to have these shades. Sadly, these shades do not come that short or narrow.
I priced this type of blind everywhere and no one had the price that Overstock did. They were meant to be behind a sheer. My thought was if they aren't that great, they really won't show. Was I wrong. They are just beautiful. I spent quite a bit of money 2+ years ago putting up window treatments - I am so sorry I didn't just think to use this type of blind throughout the house. I would have saved thousands. They are just right.
I am so pleased with these blinds for the price. They fit perfectly and therefore seem like a custom fit. By contrast, Pottery Barn, which asks about $150 more for their window treatments, only offers 64" long blinds. My windows are 54". Who needs the 10 extra inches? These extend right down to the bottom sill without the useless, ugly extra blind buildup. The installation was not bad at all - probably took 2 hours in total for two blinds. They don't have the faux wood grain look like some faux wood blinds on the market. They are completely smooth - if that matters to you. Because Overstock did not have the size I wanted in the Snow White, with some hesitation, I went with the Pearl White. It is a slightly creamier white. I painted my trim Benjamin Moore White Dove and it blended almost perfectly with the trim. The valance, which has the design of crown molding, is a nice finishing touch. A great buy.
Works perfectly on our bedroom windows - allows filtered light through our windows, and the added privacy behind our window treatment. Better than the old fashioned white rollup shades ;).
