Very beautiful. Perfect window treatment for my newly remodeled bathroom.I would caution potiential buyers that when it says to purchase the blinds 0.5 inches wider than your window opening for inside mounting, for example for a 30.5 inch opening, order 31 inches but the blind will actually be 30.5 inches. I would order the actual opening size since it was to wide to install inside and I had to mount it outside on the frame.
Honeycomb cells, made of woven polyester, pass through and filter the light a lot more than traditional Japanese paper shades do. Lighten up the room with full of light nicely. Pleasantly bright but nothing annoying. The quality of the product is better than ones we had before. Ones that we had before (different brand) was poorly made, but they were adjustable in length (just cut them to shorten); however, these are in the fixed length. Easy to install with a few to several screws (depends on the length of the product). Two of clear plastic lock down brackets are included so that you could temporarily lock the shades to the window sill or to the wall, depending on where you place them to lock the shade. If you choose to lock the shade by placing the brackets on the wall, the shade would nicely locked without any gap anywhere. However, if you choose to lock it by placing the brackets on the window sill, the shade will be a half an inch higher from the sill. Because these shades are cordless, just use two fingers to pinch a plastic tab (that will be installed at the bottom of the shade) and pull downward to expand or push upward to minimizing their height, very easily. Totally love them. Why 4 stars out of 5? I'd give them 5 stars, but all of these shades come with their top part wide open (i.e., without any sort of covering material so that these will collect dust, a lot of dust, over time). That's the only reason why I gave 4 stars for these great shades. I've been using them in a bedroom more than a month so far and I love them. I have to find a cover for them before they start to collect ton of dust in them.
I am so pleased with these blinds for the price. They fit perfectly and therefore seem like a custom fit. By contrast, Pottery Barn, which asks about $150 more for their window treatments, only offers 64" long blinds. My windows are 54". Who needs the 10 extra inches? These extend right down to the bottom sill without the useless, ugly extra blind buildup. The installation was not bad at all - probably took 2 hours in total for two blinds. They don't have the faux wood grain look like some faux wood blinds on the market. They are completely smooth - if that matters to you. Because Overstock did not have the size I wanted in the Snow White, with some hesitation, I went with the Pearl White. It is a slightly creamier white. I painted my trim Benjamin Moore White Dove and it blended almost perfectly with the trim. The valance, which has the design of crown molding, is a nice finishing touch. A great buy.
I ordered a whole set of these for the house. Unfortunately the Measurement Chart they provide (for INSIDE MOUNT) is not as accurate as I expected; I could have easily ordered an a shade that was 1 inch wider than what they recommended. I followed the directions for the "Inside Mount" measurements - perfectly - but still think the size/width is too small/narrow for the window. I recommend ordering the same size/width blinds as the inner window frame (for inside mount). Ex. 30 inch window = 30 inch blinds. Otherwise you'll have a large gap between the shades and window and will see the mounting hardware at the top/sides of the window frame. Have had problems with a few "slipping" - the cord does not seat well/tight into the roller, which means they occasionally fall/lower on their own....
