This sturdy Steamer Deck lounge chair is a find and a steal at this price. Sturdy, comfortable - exactly what I wanted and more. Note, it is not made of teak, but is constructed of some sort of heavy (indestructible) wood. It is made in Vietnam. My last experience with furniture made in Vietnam is that the the woods are heavy and products are durable. I am quite pleased with this purchase and do not hesitate to recommend. I also purchased cushion which doubled the satisfaction. Delivery was up to Overstock high standard as well. Don't be fooled by assembly hints. Chair comes ready to go, just pop on foot rest.

  • Steamer Deck Lounger vs. Chaise Lounge
    Verified Purchase

Be careful not confuse steamer deck loungers with chaise loungers. The cushion is not a complete rectangle for the steamer whereas is for a regular chaise lounge it is. I did not know what a "steamer lounger" was and thus made the mistake of buying the steamer lounge cushion for my chaise lounge because it was less expensive. The side view picture on Overstock website didn't clearly depict the narrower cushion for the leg area on this particular cushion. As I was searched only for this particular fabric "tropical raven" to match the rest of my patio furniture, I missed seeing other photos of steamer deck lounge cushion that more obviously portrayed the shape of the cushion. It would work on my chaise but looked funny, so I returned and ordered the regular chaise lounge cushion. I must say Overstock has great customer service. I recommend this cushion ONLY if you have a steamer deck lounger.

  • Nice Quality

These are somewhat pricey and I hope the longevity of these will make that cost worthwhile — at this point it is too early to tell whether or not they will last. We do store them in a light-tight plastic deck storage box when they are not in use, so I hope that will help. We also have made it a point to keep them out of the rain, so I do not know how they are when they get wet, which can be a real problem with some outdoor cushions. I am initially pleased with the quality, although I am somewhat disappointed with the colors. They seem really quite garrish as the black stripes are wide and very black and the colored strips are very bright. I actually think they are sort of ugly and wish I had ordered a different color pattern. However, they are comfortable and fit my steamer chairs perfectly.

  • Looks great

Cushion is thick enough and comfortable to lay on. Most buyers shouold realize that the cushion is intentionally narrower at the end for the footrest which is narrower on a steamer lounge chair. The pattern is busy but the color is not exceptionally bright. There are other patio cushions with same pattern if you have other patio furniture.

  • Deceptive

I believe that it either there should be a much more brightly illuminated photograph of the chaise cushion or there should be a huge caveat in the description indicating that the cushion narrows at the bottom, leaving slats exposed and looking goofy
