  • Study but rusted easily.

These stools did not with stand the test of age. I ended up selling them both for $*** each. It's a waste of money because it cost me $*** each.

  • Not what expected USELESS
    Verified Purchase

These stools were "very" inexpensive *** per seat, for set of 2 ***. Still I expected SOMETHING for my money... These are of NO USE to me. At the highest level, I still am chin high to my bar.

  • These are tiny mini-stools made cheap!
    Verified Purchase

These are NOT bar stools! They are tiny and the height of a chair. I was shocked when I got them as they were touted as bar stools. Bar stools are 30 inches high - these are not even counter height stools!

  • No way No how Nuh uh. Returned these!

These stools are awful. They're cheaply made and look unfinished. Upon opening the box, I noted the lightness of the metal base and the plastic painted piece that fits over the insertion point for the hydraulic stem piece. The stem, by the way, refused to sit in the hole and not lean to one side - it just wouldn't go perpendicular to the base. Screwing the seat to the metal plate at the top of the stem would've been much easier had the holes in the seat actually aligned with the holes in the metal plate. Each screw was slightly crooked going in, making tightening them with the supplied allen wrench difficult. The hydraulic mechanism seemed to only work in one direction (when I disassembled the chair to return it I couldn't make the rod go back into the pipe no matter what I tried). More than once I popped the metal plate right off the end of the rod (serious safety issue!) instead of forcing the rod down into the pipe. Aesthetically, this stool is pretty hideous. The vinyl edges are exposed around the seat and backrest (which you can't tell from the picture), instead of being tucked under the metal frame. I know the stools are described as "shop stools" but I doubt I'd even put them in my tool room, let alone any "shop"!

I had a difficult time finding stools that would lower enough to go under my counter top. These fit perfectly. My grandchildren like to spin around. Now I don't have to keep reminding them to stop. They do not hit the counter. Great!
