It was great to see the previous reviews before I purchased this bistro set. It prepared me on what to expect including any flaws and any unexpected things to happen. As soon as I received the 2 boxes, I made sure I have all the parts and hardware needed because I don't want to make multiple trips to the hardware store. It turned out I only made one trip just to pick up a can of clear sealant spray paint just to add another layer of anti-rust protection for my bistro set as I live up on the hills of San Francisco where we get a lot of rain/moisture. As soon as the quick dry sealant paint did its job I was able to assemble it within half an hour right on my patio deck. The color (rustic brown), height. overall dimensions and style all turned out perfectly fine and blended well with the rest of the furniture and even the door frame color of our sliding door in the house. I like that the front legs of the chairs and all four table legs have retractable rubber heels to compensate for any uneven flooring of the deck. My bistro set already had a test of rain for a couple of days and the water just repels it and dries quickly. I hope the extra coat of paint over the powder coating that it was manufactured for will prolong the pristine beauty and life of this set. I know that eventually it will rust with the constant moisture it will be subjected to in my neck of the woods. But for now, I just enjoy it and have already had great morning breakfast outside my balcony overlooking the panoramic view of San Francisco.
Added these to our patio and the color was dead on even though it is a different manufacturer. I am so pleased with how these have stood the test of time in the hot sun this summer and they are comfortable and compliment our other set very well.
For the price, this set is decent. the iron legs make the chairs and table seem more sturdy than not which is a plus given that the set is mostly aluminum. There is one issue that has been mentioned in previous reviews which is that one of the backs of the chairs have pegs that attach it to the seat which don't actually line up with the holes in in the actual seat part. We had to extend the holes via drilling into the sides of said hole in order to get the pegs to fit. The manufacturer should really sort this problem out.
The set looks great, but it took two interactions with the manufacturer to get the correct legs for the table and even then one of the screws does not line-up correctly. Also, it is a 5-piece set rather than a 3-piece set. In the end, the chairs are comfortable and the table is substantial.
