The only negative for this coffee urn is that it has no on/off switch, it must be plugged in to start brewing & unplugged to turn it off.

  • Cheap spigot

I thought this coffee urn would be great for our school functions. I received it and tried it at home and the first time I went to use the spigot the handle came off. We fixed it and took it to school and it broke again! This is very poorly constructed, especially for the type of high use you would expect if you are buying a large capacity urn. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

I purchased this item our fellowship. We needed to replace the old aluminum one. This model is oretty and expensive looking. It is easy to use and makes great coffee. Great purchase!

  • Coffee urn

The coffee urn looks great - very shiny stainless steel. After unpacking it, we filled it with water and coffee as directed. After perking, the light came on. All this is the way it should be. Next we put a cup under the spigot (faucet), moved the handle, and nothing came out. Tried it again. This time the handle came off, but stiill nothing came out. I emailed Overstock.com. I received an email back saying I could either find a replacment part locally and they would reimburse me or I could ask for directions as to how to return the item. I called a friend who ordered a replacement faucet. It didn't fit. Since I had already taken the faucet off, I decided to take the original faucet apart to see how it was made. I dicovered that the clear soft plastic inside had not been seated properly. I properly seated it. Now the faucet is working well. The handle has not come off again.
