  • Very nice

These are perfectly neutral, and I got such an insanely good price on the six I ordered. They are comfortable, though the material definitely isn't top notch. However, the value is incredible, and I highly recommend them.

  • Cheap chairs

These chairs look nice once assembled, but the legs are not cut to slide into the holes they are supposed to fit into. Very poor quality. We had to hammer the legs in so they'd go in at the correct angle that allowed the screw holes in the chair to match the screw holes in the legs. If you drop them in like a puzzle piece, the screw holes do not match up. We got three of these and the problem occurred in almost every chair. The end result is that some of the chairs are wobbly because we had to force the legs in. They didn't wobble before we tightened the bolts, but in the end, they did. We are seriously disappointed. These are not going to be long-term chairs.

  • Nice chairs for the price
    Verified Purchase

These chairs are really nice looking. The fabric is a beige linen color, very neutral. They took about 1/2 hour each to put together. They were packaged well. Good instructions on how to put together. I had no problems with wobble. The seat is very firm but comfortable. My only complaint is the upholstery job. There are places on the back of the chair where you can see raw edges of fabric because the back panel (the fabric on the back of the chair) is glued (I think) in place and they didn't get it glued down all the way to the edge. I will probably get some fabric glue and try to fix it myself. For the price though, they are decent. We rarely use our dining room so they will be fine for our needs. I only got two chairs to use at the ends of my table.

  • Good Value, Sturdy Chairs
    Verified Purchase

Like the previous poster, I bought these because Cost Plus was out of the Beach Harper chair I was originally planning to purchase. I think the fabric on the Cost Plus chair is thicker and better quality, but otherwise I prefer this chair because the cushion is firmer. I felt like I was sinking into the Cost Plus chair when I sat in it. Some things about this chair: the seat height really is 19.5". I'm 5'7" and my feet touch the ground, but not as comfortably as they would if the seat were only 18" from the ground. I just finished putting one of these chairs together by myself, even though the directions said to do it with 2 people. It was a pain, but the finished chair is sturdy. Attaching the chair seat to the back was the most difficult part. Put all of the screws in loosely first, and then go return for multiple rounds of screwing each of them a little tighter until they are all in place. By leaving them looser at first you can jiggle the chair seat around a bit so the other screws can go in straight. After doing a couple of these chairs I got to where I could assemble one in about 15 minutes. The bronzing or black paint on the screws comes off on your hands so be careful not to touch the chair fabric as you work or you will leave black smudges on the fabric. I purchased 3 sets to have 6 chairs. For all chairs except one, the hardware had come out of the plastic bag and so I had to look around inside the box to locate all of the hardware. One of the chairs was completely missing the flat washers. Overstock contacted the manufacturer to get me replacement parts. The verdict is still out on that aspect. The 5 chairs I was able to assemble are sturdy and look good. The cushions are firm but I like that. I wish the legs were not so dark. They look black from a distance and are darker than the espresso stained table I was hoping to match.

I picked these out for our new cost plus world market sourav dining table. We originally wanted similar chairs from cost plus however they were out of stock and wouldn't have anything in stock till feb (it's currently nov). So we decided to look online. These chairs are quite beautiful. The tufting is very pretty and the chairs are sturdy. Quite easy to put together and they look gorgeous with the table. So refined. My only tiny pet peeve is that the back of the chair is a bit hard. Hoping that over time, it will soften up. Tip: when putting in the first screws, put the screws through the holes first and then align up and stick in the dowels. We learned the hard way. Another tip - definitely don't tighten the screws until you're sure that everything in the piece fit well together.
