I ordered this set of 4 pub glasses for what they are - pint glasses. Designed for 16 ounces they do an excellent job of holding a 12-14 ounce pour that leaves room for an appropriate head to one's beer. This is what a pint glass is supposed to look like as opposed to the "shaker" glasses that so many establishments use as their beer glasses. I find that they are an elegant design. The only reason this particular set didn't get an excellent rating was that the glass isn't as heavy or sturdy as past pub glass sets that I have purchased.
When I opened the box I was very surprised to see how small these glasses appeared as compared to my Duvel Tulip Beer Glasses. They are 16 oz when filled to the very brim. Looks are definitely deceiving because I never would believe this glass would hold a 12 oz beer but it does. I guess I am just used to, and prefer, my larger glasses. If I were served a beer in this glass I would think it was a 10 oz beer. The quality appears to be very good, solid glass.
Nice high-quality crystal clear but thick glass won't break easily. Tulip curve towards the opening brings the bouquet of your favorite craft beer to your nose while accentuating it at the same time. Oval shaped (not quite round) stem allows a firm grip as you pinch it between your thumb and your lower index finger which keeps the glass stable as you raise it - and this method keeps the beer cold at the same time! Yes, it holds 16 oz to the rim. This one you gotta buy!
