Pros: Easy instructions, easy assembly (Completed alone in a couple of hours. Thanks, everyone who suggested having a drill ready.) Color: deep navy blue is really nice, good color saturation and true to picture online, fabric has more of a fine wale texture than I was expecting, not exactly corduroy but not a flat texture either so looks richer than a flat microfiber. I had no idea what "flannelette" was when I purchased it but was pleasantly surprised. The frame structure is sturdy when squared and assembled. I was concerned about the thin legs but the bed is mostly supported by a set of adjustable steel legs in the center so the weight is not really on the wooden legs. My floors are uneven and the bed does not wobble. The slats make the memory foam mattress more comfortable than the box spring. There is a little more bounce/give than the flatter surface so I do like that. The small size. This bed adds about eight total inches end-to-end of length to a regular Queen size bed frame so it isn't bulky. Cons: Unwieldy boxes. If you can't easily lift or drag 60lbs alone it is a good idea to get help. The smell of the upholstery. The bed had an incredibly strong odor I can only describe as "China Factory" for about four days. Size- the whole point of the bed is that it is trim but there is no room for tucking covers between the end of the bed and the frame easily, most beds give an inch or two and this does not; the mattress sits flush against the footboard so you have to struggle a little to tuck in the blankets or it looks a bit sloppy, Overall a nice bed at a good price. Happy with this purchase.
Love this platform bed. It is high enough that just putting a memory foam mattress on top makes a perfect size bed. The 4 large drawers slide smoothly, and are not too rough inside, you could line them if you put delicates inside, or just leave them for most clothes. The microfiber outside looks cozy and is padded, so no worries about whacking your knee in the middle of the night. Warning: do not use a knife while opening the boxes because you could slice it. The shipment came in a top and bottom half, which you line up and one latches in one drop into brackets on the other, very study and solid. You can add short plastic legs to raise it off the ground slightly (1/2"?), just enough to get electrical cords underneath. One caveat is you need to think about your bedside stands, because the two drawers near the head will not open fully if you have tables there. I'm doing wall-mounted shelves to avoid the problem, and feel that having the 4 big drawers is worth giving up some small drawers in a bedside stand. The looks is very clean and simple.
We did a lot of shopping for a durable unit with storage for our new mattress. The construction is very good. The microfiber is easy to clean and holds up to pets and kids well, which we know from prior experience using it on furniture. The drawers are larger than any others we saw without having to get a bed that's way too high for someone older and/or with mobility limitations. It's a bit of a pain to move the nightstands to get to the drawers near the head of the bed, but we just use those for seasonal storage and it's no problem. The white glove delivery was exactly that too. The delivery men were great. I'm not sure the delivery experience can be trusted to be the same everywhere, but for us it was super nice and efficient.
My husband and I took 6 hours to put this bed together. Not the most pleasurable experience. Matching up all the holes and getting the screws to turn easily wasn't the easiest thing to do. Bit once it's up, its a really great and sturdy bed. The fabric is more like a linen than a microfiber which I was expecting based on the picture. It has visible blue/gray and white stitching. Don't love the fabric but I do still really like this bed.
