I had a VERY old very heavy nightstand and needed something smaller and more in tune with my bedroom furniture. It's not a high nightstand which is perfect for my lower bed. If you have a high bed then this nightstand might not be what you are looking for. Also the bottom to the drawers are not real heavy wood, so I don't recommend putting anything heavy in the drawers. The drawers do open very smoothly which is a definite plus compared to my old nightstand. My son had this assembled in less than an hour w/a cordless drill. Update: I have had this nightstand for 5 years and it's still going strong and looks just like it did the day I set it up in my bedroom. I am very pleased with it. The drawers still open smoothly and there isn't any puckering of the finish like on some of my lesser expensive furniture pieces.
I purchased two of these dressers for our master bedroom, and they are perfect! The color is as depicted in the picture, and they are quality furniture, beautifully finished, unique design, and they match our honey-colored oak furniture perfectly, although I think they would look well with darker wood also because of the variations in color that are part of the beauty of this wood. Pricey, but worth every penny!
After years of sleeping on a queen bed we decided to upgrade to a king. The bedroom furniture we had was a unique wood finish, expensive, and in excellent shape so we just wanted to find a bed that would blend with the rest of the furniture. We wanted a low profile footboard and simple lines. After looking at literally 100's of beds online, we found this bed. It was delivered in 3 boxes and it was required some time to assemble but the directions were easy and all the parts were easy to put together. It is a solid piece of furniture, heavy and beautiful. While not the same finish as the existing furniture, it blends well with it and looks wonderful in the Master bedroom.
