OK, this will be a bit of a lengthy review as I have a lot to say about the Bermuda Queen headboard, chest and night table which I ordered and put together. First, these items were incredibly well packed! I couldn't get over how well packed they were, better than almost anything elsethat I've ordered on-line and I do a lot of on-line ordering. Next, about the quality of the furniture. It's good to very good. Solid wood and well prepared for assembly. If the company had put another layer of paint on the furniture, that would have been excellent as the paint layer(s?) are very thin and look white-washed almost. Next, about the assembly needed - there is A LOT of assembly required with a lot of screwing and putting things together. A second pair hands is needed at various times due to either the weight or size of the pieces you'll be working with. Assembly instructions are good . . .BUT, they could have been better in identifying the top and bottom of pieces. Also, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY . . when attaching the posts to the headboard (and I'm not talking about the rails, rather I'm talking about the long wooden posts that attach to the headboard and eventually the bed frame), be CAREFUL. If you follow the printed directions, you've aligned the posts to be hooked up to rails that, in turn, attach to the footboard. But, if you are using the headboard only, if you hook up the posts as shown in the directions, you'll have excess holes at the bottom of the posts when you go to hook them up to your bedframe. If you are using the headboard only, you need to REVERSE the headboard's posts as their other sides have two pre-drilled holes, not four. And, once you have attached the headboard's posts, you CAN NOT separate them as they lock (forever) into place. So be careful and think through which way you want to hook up the headboard's posts. Finally, even if you align the posts correctly, there's a good chance that you will still need to drill new holes to fit your frame (but at least the pre-drilled holes will not show if you set it up so that your posts have the two holes facing the frame.) In summary, this is not fine furniture, but it is nice furniture and good for the money. Be aware of the assembly requirements (will take hours of time), the need for occasional additional hands, and reverse the headboard's posts if you are only using the headboard.
What a difference this headboard made to my bedroom. I absolutely adore it! I was able to attach it myself to my bed. But another set if hand would have made it a little easier. It is nice and sturdy. The material is quality. I heartily recommend it!
Purchased 2, pleased with both AFTER I fixed one of them. The drawer wouldn't open at all. I was getting ready to call Overstock and deal with the problem when I tinkered with it a bit and found that the wood track that the drawer slides on was not screwed down at all in the belly of the nightstand. You'd only know this by completely taking out both drawers. Once screwed properly, and I waxed the wood track, it has been perfect ever since.
