We waited weeks for this to show up after it was lost in transit. When it finally showed up, it was missing hardware. Because we'd already waited so long for the bed to arrive, we didn't even call customer service. We just ran to the hardware store and found some screws that, although not a perfect match, worked out okay. The bed is cheap, for sure, but it serves its purpose. It was easy enough to put together, but I expect we will have to add plywood or something to the base in the future, because there isn't a lot of support. I didn't expect a super high quality bed for the price, and that is exactly what I got. It works, looks decent, and was cheap. If that is what you are looking for, you'll be happy with this bed.

I fell in love with this bed online, and when it arrived, was super easy to assemble. My 9 & 11-year-old niece and nephew even helped me. I love the color and the shape of the frame, it's the perfect size bed for my Leesa mattress, which is made for a platform bed.

  • Beautiful! Get a bunky board!
    Verified Purchase

The price point is good - the bed is beautiful. The fabric is more like a grey/silver blue. Really pretty and soft, but not girlie. The slats are a joke. You need to get a bunky board for support or your back is going to kill you! I believe this is a common problem with platform beds. It was time consuming to put together (you really need two people), but again..you get what you pay for. I would recommend on style. The package will arrive like Ace Ventura delivered it. The piece itself had a slight tear on the back, but you don't see it, so I'm not overly concerned. I think they just drop kick it from China. The couch I bought, same thing with the packaging (although I was lucky and nothing in side was damaged.

  • I love this bed!
    Verified Purchase

I just got this bed and I love it. It looks great, especially for the price. No one would know it was this inexpensive. I was hoping it would be darker than the picture and it is definitely more of a heather charcoal grey. There are very few parts and easy to follow instructions. I put it together by myself in about 45 minutes which included unpacking it. I used a power screwdriver but you don't need one and it will only take you about 5 minutes more for the 8 tiny screws. Feels sturdy once assembled. Other reviewers commented about the slats but I think they are fine. You can always purchase inexpensive replacements

  • Love this bed, great product, awesome value!!!!
    Verified Purchase

This was my first purchase from Overstock. I'd been looking for a nice, contemporary bed that would fit the modern design of my LA studio apartment. This is everything I was looking for. I love the idea of a platform bed because there is no box spring (which saves some money) and this one is sturdy, very good quality and the color fits any decor. Its a little darker than the photo but that was no problem. The queen size is a great size for my needs, not small and also not too big for my studio space. The assembly was easy once I realized which parts went where. I paired the bed frame with a mattress also from Overstock. The "Ultra Resort Foam Top Innerspring 10-inch Queen-size Mattress" I know a lot of people were asking what size mattress to choose so that it compares to the photo. That one fits perfectly. So in conclusion, if you're looking for a great bed, contemporary design and great quality this one is the way to go!!! Thanks overstock!

  • Great bed
    Verified Purchase

Very easy to put together. Great quality. The bed comes with arched slat system, which does NOT work with a memory foam mattress. We just went and bought wood furring strips, cut to size and used as slats. Works perfect.

  • Great Platform Bed
    Verified Purchase

I was looking for a modern platform bed at a decent price, and this one fit the bill. The back is high enough to rest your back against when sitting up in bed, but it's not super high. It works for us because our bed is in front of a window, and we didn't want to block it, but the headboard is not necessarily high enough to put your head back on. Assembly was easy enough, and we've been sleeping on it for about a month without any complaints.

"Is it tough to keep these types of beds neat and tidy looking? Looks like you would need to re-tuck and re-fold the bed cover perfectly every day."

  • Q:

"I'm curious. I ordered this bed in a FULL size and Overstock continues to advise that I order the QUEEN size "slumber solutions 14 inch gel mattress with it. Doe the queen size mattress fit better on this style bed than the FULL size? Perplexed on which size mattress to now order?? HELP. I have tried multiple times and Overstock continues to offer the 14 inch QUEEN as the option on the FULL size Baxton Studio Quincy Grey Linen Platform Bed. I looked at the measurements and it looks like the QUEEN mattress could work without any overlap. PLEASE ADVISE. Waiting to order mattress."

    • A:

      I would recommend measuring your mattress and comparing your mattress dimensions with our bed frame dimensions. Queen Size Dimensions: 38.61" High x 68.06" Wide x 88.73" Deep; Headboard: 38.61" High x 68.06" Wide x 4.68" Thick; Siderail: 12.29" High x 88.73" Wide x 3.71" Thick; Footboard: 12.29" High x 68.06" Wide x 3.71" Thick; Top of Slat: 10.43" High; Legs: 5.85" High Full Size Dimensions: Dimensions: 38.61" High x 61.43" Wide x 82.29" Deep; Headboard: 38.61" High x 61.43" Wide x 4.68" Thick; Siderail: 12.29" High x 82.29" Wide x 3.71" Thick; Footboard: 12.29" High x 61.43" Wide x 3.71" Thick; Top of Slat: 10.43" High; Legs: 5.85" High

  • Q:

"We have a memory foam mattress and see from a previous review that the slats do not provide enough support. The bunny board sounds like a good option, but will it be noticeable, or is there a low profile, inexpensive option that is like a box spring? Thanks"

    • A:

It is not necessary to add extra support to this bed frame.

  • Q:

"What size memory foam mattress is best for this bed?"

    • A:

      Full

    • A:

I do not have a memory foam mattress, but purchased a 14" high standard mattress that appears to be a great visual height as well. The mattress only sits down onto the slots minimally so almost the entire mattress height will show. I hope that helps. This is a very sturdy bed: very pleased.

    • A:

I bought a 12" mattress for my daughter, but the slats on the bed are only about 8 inches of the floor. She prefers it now that we put bed risers under the legs that add 5 1/4". I agree that it's easier to get on and off the bed this way...more the height of a bed with mattress and box springs. You can get these cheap at Target.com. $6.

  • Q:

"Hi, I bought this bed and it was delivered without the screws for assembly. What size are the screws that I need to get...."

    • A:

hi Kendra, when I got mines it came with the screws so I think you should call them to see why yours didn't.

  • Q:

"When slats are installed, how much space is between them? Also, is there enough room to tuck the bedding in and under the bed? What is dimension from top of slat to top of rail: I have a 14" queen mattress. Thank you, Rhonda"

    • A:

Hi Rhonda, The slats are about 1" to 1 1/4" apart. I too have a 14 " queen mattress that fit's perfectly, making total bed height about 22 ' high, with about 4" of the mattress nestled inside. And yes you can tuck extra blanket, top sheet etc. under the bed along the side rails. If they come with a bend in the slats? Just put them bend up and it will straighten its self out. It's easy enough to put together but I had a friend help, cause I'm lazy. Janet

  • Q:

"If I wanted to buy just the headboard (full size)...would that be a possibility? Thanks!"

    • A:

Not sure, but maybe Ostock can answer this by contacting the manufacturer. I have the complete bed and I think it is beautiful.

  • Q:

"Does anyone know the screw size in case I wanted to switch the legs out?"

    • A:

I will ask my friend who put it together for me

    • A:

I think it's about 1/2 inch. I cannot lift bed to check though. Sorry.

  • Q:

"What is the maximum weight this frame will hold?"

    • A:

One person:300 pounds; two people: 500 pounds.

  • Q:

"Is the frame available to buy separate from the headboard?"

    • A:

No, and it's not usable without the headboard. The frame and headboard come in two separate boxes, but the frame only has legs at the foot and middle...not at the headboard end. The frame then attaches to the headboard which has the legs for the headboard end of the frame.

  • Q:

"Please provide the width and depth dimensions inside of the side rails, where the mattress sits (not the overall width and depth of the bed). Thank you."

  • Q:

"Will you provide in-home delivery or door step delivery for this bed? What's the shipping time?"

    • A:

For additional shipping information, you can contact Customer Care at 1-800-The-BIG-O (843-2446).

  • Q:

"What is the height of the legs in case I might want to get some underbed storage baskets?"

    • A:

Underbed clearance is 5.75". Leg height is a little longer, but they go up underneath the frame a bit. They are standard "screw in" legs, so you could easily replace them with taller ones if you needed more height.

  • Q:

"How many inches should the mattress be for this bed frame? Would a 12' memory foam mattress work?"

    • A:

Yes a 12'' mattress should work.

  • Q:

"two questions: 1-this mattress is flush against the frame - what are the dimensions of the mattress?' or 2. Is this mattress a 10in or 12in mattress? I bought this frame, but I want a mattress that is flush against the bed frame."

    • A:

Because this item is not in stock, we are unable to provide this information.

  • Q:

"I like my current bed height (29" from floor to top of mattress) with standard metal frame, box spring, and pillow top (thick) mattress on top. It's a high(er) bed. I'm concerned that this set-up with no box spring would be too low for me. Is there any reason why I couldn't put my queen box spring in this frame first followed by my mattress on top?."

    • A:

My husband and I did this with ours and it's fine. The mattress sits a little bit high in the frame, but it still works.

    • A:

I put the box spring under the mattress and it looks fine, except you can't tuck in the comforter easily. We have to keep the comforter draped over the side instead of tucked in so it doesn't look as tailored as I would have liked. But it does make the bed very comfortable.

    • A:

I have a memory foam mattress lying directly on the wooden slats but I don't see any issue with you using a spring under your mattress. The space between the wood slats is roughly 2.5-3" so there should be enough of an area supportive enough for your box spring.

    • A:

The bed's headboard will almost be completely covered if you add another box spring on top of the existing spring platform base, unless your mattress and box are really thin. I would look for a different bed if you really want something higher.

  • Q:

"What is the weight limit on this bed"

    • A:

We do not weight test our items, I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Q:

"I'm putting this bed together and the middle support beam's legs are shorter than the bed legs - they are off the ground by about 1/2 inch. Is that ok? or is something wrong?"

    • A:

Hmmm...I don't believe you are doing anything incorrectly. I put my bed together a few months back, but I do seem to recall the same thing happening to me. At first I was concerned, but then I surmised that the middle supports aren't meant to touch the floor--they are there primarily to support body weight and to keep the bed from sagging in the middle. I'm sure if a 350 pound person lay down on it, those supports would most surely hit the floor!! Hope this helps.

    • A:

My bed is on a carpet surface and I did not notice the legs not touching. I agree with the previous answer indicating that once a person gets into the bed, the legs may then touch the floor. I am very happy with this bed. It is used in my guest room which is used very often. Everyone that sleeps on it always mentions they had a really good night sleep.

    • A:

If you turn the plastic piece on the bottom of the leg counterclockwise it will extend to touch the floor.

  • Q:

"the fabric material Linen is real linen or synthetic fiber made it look like linen?"

    • A:

This bed is constructed of linen.

  • Q:

"I am concerned that the headboard will be too low to rest against. Can you give me the dimensions of the part of the headboard that would stick up above the mattress (assuming a memory foam mattress)?"

    • A:

That would depend on the thickness of your mattress. From the slats to the top of the headboard is approximately 28.25 inches.
