I purchased these for shoe storage and realized too late that they were too wide for our closets. There are some great hacks on how to use these guys on multiple other sites. I purchased 2 and had them in my hallway storing various items. By using storage containers, bins, etc, a variety of items can be stored. Hair care bottles, first aid, etc. One of these cabinets is currently storing tshirts that were rolled tightly and placed vertically. (Very creative organization skills needed in my old home!) Overall, love. Putting together took a bit of patience. Biggest drawback is the veneer scratches very easily

I bought this to fit between to door frames by the entry into my apartment where we HAD an overflow of shoes just piling up. The dark brown color is perfect and goes with all my other furniture. Didn't use the feet because I didn't like to silver color and they were made of cheap plastic. I think it looks just as good without the feet anyway and it goes better with the rest of the furniture. Assembly was easy. Arrived sooner than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I can't believe how many pairs of shoes fit into such a slim piece of furniture. I think we have 14 pairs in there right now. So, instead of 14 pairs of shoes overflowing by the door, we have a nice piece of furniture where we can place our keys and mail and keep our shoes organized and hidden. I am so happy with this that I may buy another for my closet.

The end result is good, small and will accommodate shoes nicely. Extremely difficult to assemble.

This product is 37" high, not 33". This would not fit in the space I needed it to fit into. Otherwise it seems alright.

  • Baxton Studio Shoe Cabinet - Quite Nice for the $
    Verified Purchase

The Baxton Studio 'Marsha' Modern Double Shoe Cabinet is quite nice for the $. I couldn't find anything better for the price. Putting it together wasn't difficult, but it was missing a piece, which Overstock took care of promptly. I wall-mounted it in my garage for a very clean look. Quite pleased with this purchase. Note that other reviewers had stated that these will fit smaller shoes. For comparison, I'm a male wearing size 9, and most of my tennis shoes barely fit.

  • Compact & great looking shoe cabinet

I love it! However the instructions for assembly were pretty bad. I would go on common sense towards the end rather than just follow what they have to say.

VERY difficult to put together. The part that connects the shelves to the main unit did not fit into the pre-cut holes. I had to hammer them in. Not very well designed.

i have three of these. very good cabinet. looks great. the only small con is that the plastic piece that holds the door from going the other way are flimsy. one of those broke but u can easily replace with the metal ones from any hardware store. I didnt have to replace any so far. using these for over 1.5 years now.

  • Shoe storage nightmare

I had to position shoes carefully because the doors would not close if the wrong size shoes were on the wrong shelf. It was a bit delicate so I had to be careful not to dislodge the inside support.

  • Missing labels and predrilled holes
    Verified Purchase

This was a nightmare to put together; I was able to build the cabinet only because I had all the necessary tools to predrill all required holes. There was only one board that was labeled to correlate to the directions. Do not buy this item unless you're prepared to play a guessing game and have a drill with multiple drill bits. Good Luck!

  • Nice storage unit.
    Verified Purchase

Assembled in under 40 minutes. Directions are not the best, but you get the point if you follow the points step by step.. Seems sturdy and nice, sharp looking appearance. Didn't have any problem assembling/attaching the fold out doors as mentioned in the other reviews???

  • Poor Quality, Not Durable at all
    Verified Purchase

This shoe cabinet fell apart almost immediately after I put together. The little plastic door stoppers are way too fragile if you are actually planning on storing shoes in this thing.

  • looks great. pretty good durability
    Verified Purchase

the look is great. fairly compact. good capacity for small shoes/slippers and also bulkier sneakers. durability of the open and close swivel stop is average...at least when it comes to use by small children. however, easy enough to fix it myself. highly recommend overall.

  • Like the slim profile but materials are cheap

The top and bottom are hollow and there was significant crushing on the bottom when it arrived. Since it was not visible, I chose not to do anything about it and for the money, it fits exactly what I needed.

Nice storage for mud room. Looks great. Must be careful not to ding or nick as finish is not super durable.

  • Really Bad
    Verified Purchase

Putting it together was a nightmare!! As a matter of fact my husband had to use his own craftmanship to put together those 2 drawer doors. Only reason we kept it coz it will be in garage, so we dont really care much. I would not recommend this product.

  • Looks good now that I finally got it together!

The assembly was a little tricky but not impossible. The plastic piece that holds the drawer was too big to push into the hole on the side but I used a hammer and gently tapped it in and it was fine. I wish the drawer hinges were metal instead of plastic as the plastic is a little flimsy and I am not sure how long it will hold up. There are no holes on the bottom of the cabinet to drill the legs into so I left those off for now. Now that I have it in place, I will go ahead and put the legs on but I didn't want to drill holes and mess it up! I put my heels in the drawers and wasn't able to close it because they were pushing too hard against the back piece. I wear a size 8 shoe and this time of year I have a lot of sandals so I filled it full of flip flops, flat dress shoes, Converse and Tom shoes and was able to fit a lot because you can put the right shoe on top of the left shoe so it only takes up one spot. For the price, I am happy with it. It looks sleek and unless I tell someone it is full of shoes, they will just think it is a nice table at my entry way.

Looks great! Keeps shoes out of sight, and not just in a pile by the door.
