  • Chic chaise
    Verified Purchase

The legs were easy to put on and the chaise is very nice, a great size, and very sturdy. It is a chic addition to the master bedroom.

  • Overpriced and poorly made item. DO NOT BUY IT!
    Verified Purchase

First of all the entire shopping experience of this sofa with Overstock was awful. I did a lot of comparison and research ending up purchasing this piece was due to the fair amount of positive comments and pricing on this piece. I wanted to buy something classic and sophisticated for my master bedroom where I can relax or watch TV on. So from the picture this sofa has a good look and the price of $600 plus implied me this is going to be a solid piece that I could rely on for a long time. I was totally MISLED and WRONG! When the item delivered, it took 2 weeks longer than the website/email has been telling me. And I was the one who kept following up with the carrier company from beginning to the end since this item is an oversized item. No one had called me to notify me about the piece has arrived to local warehouse, scheduling me for the local delivery or called me just to leave a message about the piece going to deliver soon. Overstock.com said it was my fault that the phone number they had was my “home” phone number instead of the cellphone number regardless I told the logistic company every time I call that I am a full time working mom that I would need to go home from work in order to receive the delivery. I was not asked to leave the best contacting phone number from Overstock.com during my checkout process nor from the local logistic company. So I even told the local logistic company about my cellphone number. The package ended up arrived to my house without calling my cell because they called my home phone where no one was there to pick up the phone. Regardless I even called the local logistic company in the very same morning to confirm that they are going to call me 1 hour ahead of the delivery. Obviously no one really taking my word seriously…. Item arrived in a gigantic heavy duty box(So it made me feel like it was a heavy piece but the box probably resemble half of the shipping weight). Box was kind of damaged in certain corners because it was sitting in the cargo train with other oversized items for a long time during transportation. There was another elastic cover that covered up the entire sofa piece. When I removed the cover, one broken nail head was inside the cover. When I saw how rough the nail heads were being installed on the sofa, I was very upset. Nail heads are not aligned not to say the space between each nail head are uneven! Another nail head was also missing from the sofa piece when we took a thorough check. One black ribbon that looks like belong to inside of the sofa cushion was hanging outside of the cushion. I thought it was a handle to let me lift up the cushion at a moment… it should be tucked in under the cushion anyways. But somehow it was left out hanging like a handle. Finally, when we put the four legs inside the lounge sofa, it was done. This more than $600 lounge sofa is so light that my 2 year old can push it around on our hard wood floor. I can’t place the sofa right against the wall because the nail heads scratched the paint away from the wall if we move the sofa along the wall by accident. I called Overstock CS right away on the night of the delivery, they noted down what happened and told me the “Oversize” department was off. But they will relay the info to the “Oversize” department and send me more nail heads. Second day when I was at work I called Overstock again to make sure and complain about the detail of the entire purchase experience and how cheaply made the lounge sofa is. I was put on hold for oversize department for more than 15 minutes. Then I told the CS agent I need to speak to a supervisor. He then told me oversize department might have a better solution for me and asked if I want to keep waiting… So I stayed on the phone for another 10, 15 minutes. Finally I couldn’t wait any longer, so when the CS agent got back to me again, I told him I want to talk to a supervisor. Then another 5 minutes later, a supervisor talked to me and I complained the entire process and the item to him. He said it’s not their fault because my home phone number is the only number that they have on file. I wonder why Overstock.com, such a big ecommerce company would have no experience of asking customer to leave a phone number for delivery appointment during customer’s checkout process? I was also asked whether to return the item and get an exchange, but with all the trouble and hassle and wait I have been through it is not worth it going over the process again. I was offered a partial refund and saying the nail head will be sent shortly from the “Oversize” department. This solution was offered one week before Christmas….so far I haven’t seen any nail head coming through my mail. I don’t think there’s really an “Oversize” department exist, right? I am so sick and tired the entire customer service process I have been through during this purchase. So my advice is, never purchase any furniture with Overstock.com. And this is definitely not a lounge sofa worth paying over $300. Go somewhere else!

  • Disappointed
    Verified Purchase

This arrives in a box, strapped to a pallet and dumped in either your garage or driveway to deal with on your own. I purchased this based on other reviews that it was comfortable. HA! I'm 5'4" and mid to heavy weight. My feet reach the end of the seat when sitting upright in it. Anyone taller would hang off the end. You can feel the poor quality of the construction in the arms when you get in and out of it. The fabric is poor quality, rough and loos like it won't last very long. The construction is very cheap. it's clearly a thin layer (1 inch?) of foam on a hard surface. (board?) The idea of a cushion on a base is deceptive, it simply doesn't exist. The piece is very light weight, I carried it up stairs myself and I'm not very strong. you have to screw the legs in. I wish I'd opted to pay a few hundred more for a piece I'd seen locally and could actually sit in. The lumbar pillow that comes with it is poorly made and doesn't even fit the space. I traded it out for some down filled pillows which help for comfort. This is a piece of junk that will be replace within the year. Too expensive to send it back. Sigh. Live and learn I guess...
