This unit is really nice, though I am not sure if it is worth the high price. It seems to be very well made, but light duty. I wouldn't store anything heavy in it. It does have a surprising amount of storage space which would be best used for towels or other lightweight bulky items. There are also some glass dividers and plastic boxes provided for smaller items. According to Duravit's website it is made of moisture proof plywood and a real wood veneer. Duravit does offer units made of solid wood and units with a decorative finish rather than a veneer, but these items are generally special order and can take 4 months to get. I had originally tried to get this unit in cherry, but gave up after one company after another gave me later and later delivery dates. If you are in a hurry make sure the item is in stock before ordering. Overstock did a great job of shipping the item quickly and safely, it was very well packed. I had first tried to buy it from the company with Prime shipping, they didn't pack it well at all and it was heavily damaged. Then a replacement was sent out which was also damaged plus the wrong color. I was really very happy when I got a perfect unit from Overstock! Plus Overstock had a better price and shipped the unit very quickly!
This grey mirrorless vanity was exactly what was expected. It is sturdy and really sets off the look in the bathroom. We would certainly order this again!
We ordered this several months ago as we were preparing to renovate a bathroom. We ordered very early as we thought it might take up to 6 weeks, and we were pleasantly surprised when the cabinet arrived very quickly - within just 2 or 3 weeks! Quality is good, and it is a very pretty vanity. The biggest problem resulted from the fact that the specs on the website for the vanity height are misleading. We have a fairly short wall where this vanity goes, so we needed to be careful in how we measured everything. The specs says vanity height is 36", but that is just to the top of the wood part of the vanity and doesn't include about 3 inches for the marble backsplash, which brings the actual height of the vanity against the wall to 39 1/8". This presented a pretty significant challenge as we'd based measurements for the mirror and electrical (for lights above the mirror) based on 36" rather than 39. After we installed the vanity and went to put up the mirror and lights, we realized there wasn't enough room for the mirror. We ended up having to patch walls and redo the lighting scheme to accommodate the height from the backsplash. Potential buyers should keep in mind that actual height is closer to 40".
