This was delivered in very good condition, went together just fine although there are MANY pieces and you need to follow LOTS of directions which include looking very carefully to the pictures and the identified parts which are marked on each piece with a removable sticker. There are 2 sets of tiny screws which look almost identical but are not so be careful. Took me, (58 yr. old female) about 2 full hours to assemble with 2 screw drivers. I was not able to put the cross bracing which would go behind the toilet and connects the 2 side pieces to make this more sturdy because there was not enough space behind the commode to accommodate it, so I removed it and it is still sturdy and fits just fine without it. If we ever move I may put it on just to brace it for travel. This is made mostly of engineered wood and particle board, but it looks fine once together. I also left out the shelves on one side to fit the toilet bowl brush behind that door, so no more clutter. I am going to get 3 brushed nickel knobs to replace the wooden ones which I don't really like, or you can paint them with an metallic or colored enamel too. I will match them with the rest of my bathroom hardware knobs as closely as possible. Very good price - very labor intensive assembly.
Was looking for something to put over the commode but did not want something with poles holding it up. I have always preferred the warm texture of wood to the sterile feel/look of metal. This product suited me, my bathroom and my needs.
All I can say is thank god for dad putting this together for me. It came with smashed wood screw like things that were supposed to join the pieces together and missing a couple metal screws. BUT, he was able to get it together for me (thanks gorilla glue!!!!) and I love it. It's perfect for my guest bathroom. The style and color are spot on, but putting it together will take some teamwork and some kid of magic glue!
I am going to take the time to review this item because I had read a terrible review of it somewhere else, so I almost didn't buy it. But it's actually quite nice. All the pieces were there, and it was not that hard to put together.I am pleased that it's real wood, and not particle board. It fits beautifully in my bathroom, over the toilet, and gives lots of nice shelf space.. The bottom stabilizing bar is set high enough to fit over where the toilet plumbing comes out of the wall, so I was grateful for that. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that I can see that the paint is going to scratch quite easily. I put a metal can of hair spray on it and it scratched. I may put some contact paper down on the shelf tops. But other than that it's a good product and priced right.
