I bought this cabinet with the intention to repaint it and use it on a guest bathroom wall for display. We had to sand and prime the pieces before assembly because the white almost-laminate exterior is a little harsh. The good feature is that is looks like a Craftsman-style cabinet when assembled, including faux-crystal doorknobs on the glass doors. It's not meant to store anything heavy, and the lower shelf is a great place to put a few interesting knicknacks and scented candle jars.
After searching long and hard locally for a white, corner cabinet with a front door for the 1/2 bath in my home, I was delighted to find that Overstock had one in supply. The price was very good and, as always, the delivery was fast. I was surprised by the large number of parts to assemble, but don't let that discourage you. The illustrations help tremendously when trying to figure out the assembly. I was able to put the cabinet together in about one hour. Not bad for a senior lady!
I purchased this cabinet because it matched the craftsman style cabinets already in my 107 year old home that I was remolding and I wanted to keep the old charm in it. I added a glaze over the white to make it look like the other woodwork and even glazed over the cut mirrored door to make it look old and not so silver; added a bronze knob and it looks like it was always in the home.
The piece went together well. Caution though...if you have molding at the bottom of your wall, you can't fix the unit to the wall without it leaning backwards. You may need to put a shim behind where the piece is between it and the wall so it can be anchored. An important thing if you live in California and worry about it being jostled over Otherwise..a good piece. No complaints whatsoever.
