Once assembled, it is a beautiful piece and looks stunning in the room, however, if you order this, be prepared for the following: 1) Terrible packaging. The cardboard box it shipped in was practically destroyed by the time it got to me, which leads to... 2) Damaged pieces. Some of the thinner components, such as the backboard, were cracked upon arrival. One of the metal dowels had escaped from the packaging, and I was very lucky that it managed to stay with the rest of the package until it got to me. 3) Crappy hardware. If you purchase this, be prepared to have to buy 28 of your own 15mm x 16mm cam connectors, because the ones that ship with the cabinet are ill-fitting and made of a flimsy metal that crumbles under the force of your screwdriver while tightening.
Gave 3 stars due to my experience putting it together and issues I encountered with the doors. Took a few hours to put together. Right side panel had small marks but are not visible where it is placed so no huge deal. There were two holes in the metal foot that were made too small so I was unable to screw the nails to in, luckily all other screws fit tightly so it wasn't a huge deal that they were left out but nonetheless unacceptable from a build perspective. Also there appears to be a flaw with the left hinge where the door does not completely catch onto the magnet so I am able to close the door but unable to push in the door to open. Again I'm able to still open the door with a very slight pull but again unacceptable flaw. The hassle of packing returning and paying to ship back would have been way worse that the end result which was not bad at all. All in all the cabinet is sturdy and very nice looking. Looks as it does in the picture. Got an okay deal on price but would had felt better if I had paid about $100 less given my experience.
This arrives in two boxes and a zillion parts. It's like a Chinese jigsaw puzzle with NO WRITTEN instructions, only photos. Fortunately, my very high IQ son assembled this for me but, it still took us almost 2 hours to complete it. The parts are supposed to be labeled but 20% of them are not. It is not clear which side is top and which is bottom so we had to take it apart at one point because we had a piece in upside down. The metal bars on the side all of a sudden appear in the photos although it's unclear at what point they were inserted. That kind of thing in instructions is why people love *** directions are the coup de gras in the DIY furniture assembly. Unfortunately, there is not a store close to me. So, all that in mind, I'm happy with the finished piece. It did have a few scratches on some of the pieces but nothing that a little magic market couldn't cover up. I might have rated this considerably lower had I written this review the day after assembly but, a week later, I'm not quite so livid about the lousy directions.
Love love love the piece. It holds wine as well as liquor, glasses, and tools. It looks great both opened up to display contents and closed. Definitely recommend having 2 people to put it together. Don't forget the small metal bars to hold in the bottles on the side or you'll have to repeat many steps to reassemble. That happened to us but it ended up working out just fine. It's a beautiful piece.
