Barebones Polished Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Barebones Polished Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Gather 'round the fire and cook big—this Polished Cast Iron Dutch Oven is built for camp meals, cabin kitchens, and everything in between. Inspired by Japanese cookware and crafted for open-flame cooking, it's the rugged, all-purpose pot you'll reach for again and again. The included lid, circular polished interior, and steady heat distribution make it perfect for simmering stews, slow-braising meats, or baking bread in the coals. An extended handle and copper accents add both control and durability, whether you're cooking trailside or at home. Pre-seasoned with sunflower oil, it's ready to go straight out of the box.
Note: The thick base is designed for durability and steady heat. Go "slow and low" as you get to know your Dutch oven. Like all cast iron, a little sticking is normal at first and will fade as seasoning builds with every meal.

Care — How to Reseason Your Cast Iron:
- Scrub the Dutch oven clean using a cleaning mesh or stiff brush.
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Choose a high-smoke-point oil such as sunflower or grapeseed oil.
- Apply a thin layer of oil inside the Dutch oven and lid, rubbing it into the surface and walls.
- Place the Dutch oven and lid in the oven for 10 minutes, then carefully remove and wipe away excess oil.
- Increase oven temperature to 400°F (205°C).
- Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and allow it to cool inside.
- Once cool, wipe away any remaining oil with a clean paper towel or cloth.
Your Dutch oven is now seasoned and ready for the next adventure. Repeat this process periodically to maintain its seasoning.
