Great value, I'm not sure how they will hold up in a long run. The front seems that it could have used a little more padding to keep from crinkling. But for the value of the chairs, I guess it worth the price. My husband also added metal on the front & sides foot rests for better ware. He purchased light weight angle metal strips from homedepo, cut to size, sprayed with bronze color & top finish & attached with finish nails. He put them together & finished them in a couple of evenings. I also rubbed the leather with leather conditioner to keep it soft & help it from cracking. We received lots of nice comments on them. They look great by our breakfast counter. We recommend these chairs.
I bought these stools to go in my bar, which I decorated rustic chic with tools and items from our family farm. These stools are no joke - they are heavy and sturdy! The powder coating is the perfect finish for the rustic theme. I like that you get to select the height of the footrest - I'm 5'2" so my feet usually dangle on bar stools, but I was able to put the footrest just a bit higher so my feet actually rest on the footrest. And the seat is adjustable, as well. My stools are sitting on a slate tile floor, but I would be warned if you're going to put these are hardwood. The stools are HEAVY and there's really no way to attach a pad to the bottom; felt pads have very little surface area to adhere to, as the base of the foot is not solid (I'm sure it was hollowed out to alleviate some weight from the cast iron base)
