"Do you realize there is no such measurement as cubic square feet? It's either cubic feet or square feet, but not both. Cubic feet is a measure of volume. Square feet is a measurement of floor area. At 1.3 cubic feet, this unit would barely hold a gallon milk jug. Something isn't quite right here."

Small, energy efficient, and quiet
Bought this to replace a 16 cubic foot fridge. I had tons of empty space in an 8 year old fridge with a failing compressor. I get laughed at for having a 7.4 cubic foot fridge in the kitchen, but now I have more than extra foot of space next to the counter to put brooms, a step stool, or even the trash can. I plan on getting a long drawer (like what energy efficient washers/dryers sit on) and placing the fridge on that for some extra storage. The freezer is small, but wide enough to fit a frozen pizza in. When I emptied out the old freezer, I found brats and veggies that I had bought a year prior. There's no room to lose things in this freezer! Unfortunately, I don't have any room for an ice tray, but I'll eat something to fix that problem. The energy guide sticker that came with the fridge stated the yearly cost would be about $43 and 345 kwh. These figures were different than posted on any other website. Before complaining to the manufacturer, I plugged in my killawatt (energy consumption measuring device). For the first day the instructions say to keep it at the coldest temp, and it was sucking up a LOT of energy. I turned the temp down to 3 (7 being the coldest) and the energy consumption lowered to the rating posted on other sites (about 250 kwh per year). Overall, this fridge will save me at least $25 per year on my energy bill. It's pretty quiet once it gets to operating temperature. When cooling, it sounds much different than a normal large refrigerator. A normal fridge kind of has a fan sound. This is quieter but it's a different noise to get used to. Once it gets to a cold operating temp, it won't turn on (make noise) very often. No auto-defrost - after a month, I have a tiny layer of frost in the freezer and a few frozen water droplets on the back wall of the fridge. So far, not a big deal. I've seen old fridges with a layer of ice an inch thick so I'm not complaining! Larger refrigerators have an "energy saver" switch. To prevent condensation on the outside of the unit, the exterior walls of the refrigerator are heated. The energy saver mode turns off that heater. This unit does not have an energy saver mode. Pros: -energy efficient -quiet -light weight (at 94 pounds I can move this anywhere myself) Cons -shelves on the fridge door are a bit narrow, but there are enough of them to make things work (I have to put ketchup at the very bottom of the door) -no shelves on the door in the freezer -no light in freezer but since it's so small, there's not a lot to light up!
