My husband works nights and needs a dark room during the day to sleep. These curtains are a beautiful, light color to go with our room but still block the sun so he can get a good nights sleep... during the day! I was worried about black out curtains thinking they would have to be a darker color but these are perfect. I bought a white pair right after this purchase for our guest room so our guests could sleep in while visiting!

These curtains are not thermal but they do block the sun, these are better summer weight blackout curtains and the width is great for a larger window. I BOUGHT TWO! The grommets are wide and curtain was well made, zI would buy them again. Very few wrinkles out of packaging and I will steam those out. Very happy with quality of product.

NOT A Blackout Curtain. At All.
When people seek blackout curtains, they're usually looking for a product that will block out the sunlight completely. These are just regular curtains; sunlight & indirect daylight will most certainly pass through. The color I ordered is Biscuit (more of a neutral color) and each panel consists of 12 antique bronze colored grommets. The curtains drape nicely due to the grommet headers. Two 80" panels offer just enough fullness for a standard sized sliding glass door and I would NOT recommend buying any of the shorter widths for this purpose. I only ordered this width because the extra wide curtains were sold out. I would give this curtain 5 stars if it were truly a blackout curtain.

Do the job
The curtains do the job to blackout light. Overall they're pretty good and I'm satisfied for the price. The chocolate brown color has a rust tint that I wasn't expecting, and the picture shows a bit of a darker strip which does not exist. As I was ironing the curtains, I noticed the seams aren't sewn very straight, but this is not noticeable once the curtains are up. These were for a rental unit and work very nicely as I didn't want to spend a lot of money and wanted blackout curtains.
