Banana plants bear fruit only once in their lifetime. After harvest, the plant is typically cut down, and its sturdy, fibrous stems are left behind. Instead of letting this material go to waste, we work with artisan communities who transform the stems into rope—twisting, dyeing, and weaving them by hand on traditional looms. The result is a functional, long-lasting runner that adds warmth and natural texture to any surface.
