Everything lined up and fit together for the most part but we did get a few duds that we had to improvise on: 1) One of the metal roller glides for the drawers was bent out of shape. We had to hammer it out to get it to fit and the drawer we put it on still gets stuck. 2) Two of the seven knobs just did NOT fit. Or rather the holes they were supposed to go into were not sanded down into the right shape. We had to chip away at it for it for them to go in. 3) A plastic shim-thingy to line up two of the back panels was just completely coming apart and in pieces. I actually thought it was some part of the packaging at first and almost threw it away. When I realized it was supposed to be incorporated, I gave it a try but it was too ridiculous--there were several large shards coming off of it that had to be cut off and the thing was just too bent out of shape to do anything. I just threw it away and there's a little open section in the back of the wardrobe which I do not mind. Oh and the lock--I didn't bother with it after reading the other reviews and it's not like I need to lock up my t-shirts anyway. Other than that, this is actually a good, nice looking wardrobe. The wooden parts are all sturdy which is what is important. It was also the perfect size for a nook we have in our bedroom so we have to like it.
The Aristo armoire is beautiful. It is big, solid and heavy! I previously purchased the Waynesborough bed, dresser and nightstands, which I love. I did not purchase the Waynesborough armoire after reading one of the reviews that stated the doors did not slide in OR wrap around. I need something that could remain open without the doors getting in the way. This one does wrap around. I was not sure this armoire would go with the Waynesborough collection, it does. The color is a near perfect match. The routing on the doors matches the headboard, and the design of the legs is the same as the Waynesborough dresser. The only difference is the knobs vs pulls. These can easily be changed to match, but I like the ones that are on it. The only thing that I do not like is the ¿metal brackets¿ on the doors. They stand out when it is open. I will probably paint them dark brown to better blend with the wood. You can¿t beat the price for such a great quality piece.
Overstock has sent me literally 10 emails to rate these shelves for the matching armoire that I purchased. They function perfectly as shelves. Not much more to say. Oh, except the little plastic inserts that hold the shelf in place broke clean off. Bought metal shelf holders to replace them for like $ off ********, so it's not a big deal.
Overall I'm happy with this armoire. I was able to put it together by myself but it did take about four hours. I was able to hand-screw most of the screws but had to pull out the drill for some of them. The drawers lined up well and run smoothly. There are metal plates that are supposed to go at the top and bottom of the left side door which keep the door stable for when the lock is engaged. Those plates didn't line up properly. It's not an issue for me as I have no intention of locking the cabinet so I didn't install them.
