Not only are the table and chairs beautiful, they are well made, quality items. Purchasing this set was a definite upgrade to my dining room.
I love this table set it's elegant comfortable and classy and I haven't let any one sit on the chairs or near the table yet it's for show and tell for now lol

It's a beautiful looking set but we had several issues with it. First, the legs for the chairs were not drilled properly to assembled with the screws. I tried to resolve the issue with Overstock but they just sent more chair legs that were not drilled. Their warehouse QC team apparently did not bother to understand what the issue was. So, now I have to drill the holes myself. Also, we've discovered that the underside of the table is painted with a flat black that comes off on clothing. It seems to wash out of clothing ok but people get up from the table with black streaks across the front of their thighs. I have tried scrubbing it off the underside of the table, thinking it was maybe just dirt, but it's cheap flat paint, and no matter how much I scrub it, it just keeps coming off on people's clothes. I think the next best solution is to go buy some paint or varnish and seal it so that it can't come off any more. Very strange. Like I said, it's a nice looking set, which is why I still gave it some stars, but there are some very obvious quality-control issues that you should be aware of if you are considering this purchase.
I was skeptical about ordering furniture online, but decided to take a chance, and I'm happy I did. The table is solid, and it is a beautiful set. The chairs are somewhat hard and offer little cushion, but I can live with it. The only downside has been my experience with the assembly company. A few of the chairs were not assembled tightly and sway when you sit in them. Customer service for the assembly company is atrocious, and I would not do business with them again.
