  • Shades block light & sound
    Verified Purchase

We bought these cellular shades for our bedroom window. The installation was fairly straightforward. The shades themselves do block much of the light coming in, and are quite easy to raise and lower. We chose to do an outside mount for these, and our only error was in not allowing for more room on either side of the window, so a little bit of light creeps in. They seem to dampen some of the noise (we live in the middle of Manhattan), but I can't speak for sound dampening qualities. Overall, we are quite pleased with these shades - the price is the best you will find anywhere and the quality looks great!

  • Fantastic Blackout Shade
    Verified Purchase

The shade was perfect. It was easy to install and fit perfectly in the window. The blackout works wonderfully. We will be buying these for the rest of the bedroom windows to replace blinds. Also easy to lower and raise the shade. Put sheer curtains over this and it looks great!!!

  • Perfect for my media room
    Verified Purchase

This shade was easy to install. It blocks 99.98% of the sun in my media room and while I can see minute streaks of light on the ceiling, they go no more than 3 inches... meaning zero glare on my TV screen.

  • Good for price

For the price, these are excellent shades. Relatively easy to install (I mounted on inside of window frame). Materiall is thick and shades seem sturdy. My only complaints are: (1) they resist being pulled down all the way -- shade tends to jump pop back up -- you have to pull it past the window sill then slowly raise it to get shade to rest on the sill; and (2) when down, the shade looks crooked because one side comes out a little farther from the glass than the other -- maybe I installed the brackets crooked? I'm going to order another shade but will try the longer length this time in the hopes it will fully extend more easily. Also note shade is about 18 inch narrower than stated width.
