My Blinds arrived and were even more lovely than I had imagined! The white was a bright white like I was hoping for. They provide privacy but still allow a filtered light so the room is not dark. My husband is handy at things so he had no problem hanging them.

The cordless technology is amazing! It goes up and down very easily. I love that there is no visible cord and really safe if you have kids! The cordless make it look much neater and give it a clean look. The fabric does have a slight sheen to it and is thin to allow light to filter through. Beside that, it gives me privacy and makes the house bright and light! I love it. I don't even have to pull the shade up to get some light in the room. It was easy to install, but came with minimal instructions.

I ordered 6 and could've ordered more, but they only come in certain sizes and wanted to get more for my living room window that's 100 inch wide. Otherwise a great find for the price and quality. They look expensive, provide a good amount of light without blocking out completely but give you privacy so folks can't really look in.

It is recommended that you take the measurement of the inside of your window. Then deduct 1/4 inch from that measurement. You can measure your head rail and compare.

"Can these be trimmed to width? I need 45", 41", and 28" widths, so thinking I could start with 46.5" and 29.5" factory widths. I do finish carpentry and some sewing, so I wouldn't be put off if it's a little technical. Also: how much extra length is TOO much? Eg, I want 25" length but can only choose 40" at minimum. I think it would be very difficult to shorten.....the cords run through the top and down to the "lift" bar at the bottom. However, you only need to pull down to your desired length. The fabric is thin and doesn't look too bulky even if the shade is not fully extended.

Yes, they will offer privacy so that you will not be able to see through them. However, they are not blackout so you will still see shadows and silhouettes.

Yes, that is what I did with the ones that I bought. It is a LOT of work and not recommended for beginners, however it can be done. I first hemmed the sides of the new fabric. I set my sewing machine on a table where I had lots of room and enlisted the help of a friend to help guide the shade as I sewing close to each rib. I also made my own "valance" topper with a decorative hem and hot glued some braid at the edge. It was worth all of the work to have the "lift" mechanism that these shades come with.
