I originally purchased the 6 x 9, and its blue color was richer than showed on computer. Realized that I needed the smaller 5 x 8 approximate size and was disappointed that the blue it more a denim blue. Also, couldn't figure out why couldn't get wrinkles out of the 6 x 9. Now realize it has something to do with the way the gold decoration is woven into the rug. Also, the 6 x 9 has peacocks in corners so didn't realize that the smaller rug would have roosters. Still am using under dining room table because the table covers it up so much that you can't tell the roosters in the corners.
The pattern in this rug is created by the weave and is caught by the light. It is of high quality and the color and design are subtle enough to go with any decor. Because it is wool, it is easily cleaned. I bought the 4' X 6' to go with an older kilim that has a geometric pattern and many colors. It matches perfectly. I like the rug so much I purchased the 5' X 8'.
When I did my search for a 4 x 6 rug, this was among them. It's my fault for not looking closer (or looking at all) at the actual dimensions, as they include smaller sizes in this category. This is only a little bigger than 3 x 5 in size. That being said, the gold color is very pretty, a muted tone, not yellowish or mustardy to me at all, contrary to a few other purchasers of the gold color. It is thin, but what does one expect for 40.00? The edges are nicely finished. I'm happy with the quality, but mad at myself for not seeing that this was not 4 x 6. Buyer make sure that you check size, because there are smaller sizes lumped in with the 4 x 6 size.
