This rug is very pretty and thicker then I expected. The colors are more muted then they appear which worked out great for me. It coordinates well in the area I wanted it for. The biggest difference in the colors that are pictured online and the actual rug is the yellow it is NOT yellow it is more of a gold. I am very happy with rug and plan to buy another Safavieh rug from Overstock very soon.
60% wool + 40% silk produces a very fine rug, however since the rug is machine loomed in China, the he colors don't "pop" as much as a hand knotted Turkish rug which would cost 3-4 times what I paid. The Ivory is fairly true. The greens are sage. the bits of blue & red really add a lot of beauty. Its a pretty versatile rug and will blend into an area which does not take too much traffic because of the light color. Warning: my cat loves this rug a bit too much bot lavender febreze (or equal) is a really good deterrent!
The rug is a nice pattern and seems to be well made, but the cast of the color looks almost "green" in my house. I I have another jute rug from this company and the color is more taupe/beige which I was hoping would be the undertones of this rug. I am not sure I will keep it. it definitely has warm undertones in the gold, almost green area than the true beiges for people that are interested in the undertones of the rug.
