I love this rug. The colors are beautiful and will go with just about any decor. I have both warm and cool beige tones as well as pops of rust red, chocolate brown, sage green and cream in my home. This rug works with my color scheme as well as the various shades of beige that flow throughout the house - with the possible exception of yellows, oranges or very gold beiges, I feel that it could harmonize with just about any color scheme. I placed it under my kitchen table and it looks fantastic. I like that it is a very flat, thin rug so that the chairs will not catch onto the carpet. I would recommend a rug pad to keep it in place because these type of rugs do tend to move around a bit unless they have either a pad or rug tape beneath to keep them straight. It blends well with the dark brown walnut tones of my industrial themed Acacia and iron kitchen table, the rust tones of my cherry kitchen cabinets and the neutral Sherwin Williams Nantucket Dune color wall paint. I was looking for a rug that would bring both the cool and warm tones of my kitchen together. This rug is it and has it all - soft beige gray or "greige" (which works well with both neutral warms & cools), camel beige (works with warms), deep browns, cream and oatmeal tones throughout. I am very pleased with this purchase and am happy that I ordered it to coordinate with my kitchen color scheme. FYI this rug coordinates beautifully with the NuLoom Chunky handwoven jute rug series also offered on Overstock. They not only look lovely together, but the mix of textures works nicely for a casual and inviting rustic or industrial feel.
I was hesitant to purchase this rug (and it's three matching counterparts) because of the lack of reviews. It is definitely a FLAT rug... like a dhurrie. The weave is very tight and it’s quite soft to run your hands or feet across the surface (think very short chenille). Unlike dhurries I've seen in the past, the edges of this rug are not serged, but folded under and secured on the bottom with 2 inch wide fabric tape. The problem here is that the rug material causes the folded edges and corners to be rather thick which creates a trip hazard. I like the rug enough that I plan to purchase a thick felt pad (or maybe even premium carpet padding) and cut it to size to remedy this. There are five colors which I would describe as cream, very light taupe, dark smokey taupe, dark espresso brown (almost black), and true teal which is neither too blue nor too green. I was hoping that the lighter taupe color would be warmer. It looked khaki or almost camel on my computer screen, but it is not. I have taupe walls and dark wood floors, and the rug looks beautiful in the space. My khaki couches, however, look a bit off because of their warm tones. The cream color does have some warmth, but the other colors still dominate and make the rug feel cool. I think this rug would be equally nice in a room with gray walls, as the smokey taupe appears almost gray in dimmer light. I wouldn't have chosen this family of rugs if I had known how flat they are, but I'm happy and keeping them because they really are pretty. Guess I’ll need new couches soon to pull it all together.
This rug is very thick and beautiful! Absolutely fabulous quality for the price point. Colors are predominantly black and what I would consider dark camel (no ivory-the description states that there is). The floral design is a deep coral leaning pink, does not pull orange as some corals shades do. This rug compliments an adjoining dining room where I have a burgundy wine and black oriental rug with contemporary transitional decor and they flow wonderfully. Super fast FedEx shipping in perfect condition. Overstock, I'll be back for my kitchen rug next!
