This countertop appliance is large for a countertop but small for a dishwasher. But, it is the size that is advertised in its listing, so one should not be surprised at how much real estate it takes up. If you are in doubt as to how much space it will take up, get a measuring tape or a ruler and measure its dimensions out on the spot where you will be putting it. Also, once you have put it somewhere, you will probably not be moving it around a lot, it is a bit heavy and so hoisting it up and off of the counter to who knows where will be a chore. This little magic box holds a surprising amount of dishes, given its small size and gets them clean most of the time. We have had very few instances where we had to hand wash something that was washed in this dishwasher and we are not diligent homemakers, our dishes will often sit a while and have dried on food bits by the time they get washed. Not petrified food, but definitely dried. And we only scrape, we do not rinse out dishes before putting them into the dishwasher, otherwise, what is the point of having a dishwasher? This machine is almost too quiet, I have had to check to be certain that it was actually running! The various alarm beeps are well thought out, it does not beep incessantly without reason, like the microwave that will keep beeping if you don't come get your popcorn out soon enough for it's liking. It will warn you that the water is not on for the machine to use and it lets you know when it is done washing. The quick connect attachment for the sink faucet works pretty well, it only leaks a small amount when the dishwasher is not filling and that after a while of the pressure building up. Which is to be expected, but we don't like to set this up to run overnight because of the waste of water that it would cause. We might be able to install the quick connect adapter better to eliminate this problem, but we are not that bothered by the issue yet. This machine will not fit your big roasting pan, but it will hold quite a few dishes and get them clean pretty quickly. I am using this as a substitute for my big dishwasher until I can afford to redo my dilapidated kitchen, but I can see holding on to it to use on those occasions when we have an event that overwhelms the big dishwasher, like Thanksgiving. This would also be a godsend for a busy apartment dweller as this would be perfect for a day's worth of dishes for one or two people. I recommend this machine to anyone who needs either a stop gap solution to a broken kitchen or a renter with a smallish kitchen. It does not quite take the place of a full size dishwasher, but it does a really good job getting what fits in it clean and sparkly and it does the job pretty quickly.
I use this cooler to age my cheese. 2 things to note are that its temp range is very specific -- something like 52 degrees to about 65 degrees. And if you attempt to keep it in a room cooler than 50 degrees, it won't work propertly. It also seems to need really good air circulation all around the unit to maintain its temp accurately. The 2nd quirk is that its temp control button is a digital button on the face of the door and is very sensitive to touch. My dog kept sniffing the cooler (probably because of the yummy cheese inside) and messing with the temp. I would walk in and find my setting had gone up 5 degrees and I had no idea how long that had been happening. Probably not a big deal if you don't have a nosy dog like mine or are using the cooler for wine and not cheese! I also think this is a high energy appliance for its size but am not positive about that.
