I bought this for my husband for his birthday. Small and fits perfect in the area we needed to put it. Several bottles lay down and room for upright storage of open bottles of wine with stoppers. You don't have to recork to store. Interior lighting has a nice glow to it and makes bottles visable thru the glass door. The price was a steal compared to other wine coolers. He loves it and still tells me how much he does. Now if we could just keep it filled.
This is my 2nd Avanti cooler, replacing a comparable model I purchased in 2012. I was initially disappointed with this one as they clearly cut corners here and there to maintain same price point and keep their margins. I'd personally rather pay more and get better quality. It's quiet, nice and compact and holds the temperature. It does what it needs to do. But my past experience is you have to keep the back dust free. The prior model had screens/filters over the fan openings in the back to minimize dust getting into the unit. This one does not. The overall interior and handle is made of cheaper plastic now. Not solid. But b/c it's a bit flimsy and plastic you can shove in a bottle that might be a bit larger and make it fit. My last unit made it 4 years (after replacing the first one under warranty). Hoping to at least get another 3 yrs out of this one. Advice: keep it well ventilated and free of dust/lint. I used canned air to blow out the dust. Open up the back to clean it out every 4-6 mths.
I bought this because of the other reviews. Super attractive and keeps our red wine at the perfect temperature. Much more pleasurable to drink now. Before using the fridge our wine would occasionally go bad (get corked), but we haven't had that happen in a long time since getting the cooler. I'm guessing the lower temp has been helping. I like that you can put 4 bottles upright, like open bottles - and we keep a bottle of vodka in their, too. Anyway, it's a great value, for sure.
