I LOVE this cabinet. I got it for my 32 inch flatscreen. There's a LOT of storage space, so I have ALL my DVDs, plus some CDs, and even some other things I need in the living room, all hidden away inside.
It took a couple of hours for my friend to put together, not because it was really difficult, but because there's just a lot to assemble: four door panels, end panels, top and bottom, shelves, several back panels, etc.
There's a list of the items included so you can check first and make sure you have all the right pieces-- instead of finding out halfway through the assembly that there's something missing.
BUT, the pictures of the pieces aren't very clear - they're black and white, and many kind of look alike. So I ended up counting to see how many pieces I had of each item, then looking on the list to see what it matched.
If the doors don't match up, you'll notice it because the medallions in the middle-center of the doors won't align exactly. All you have to do is adjust screws in the door hinges to raise one, and lower the other if you still need a little more adjusting. Don't just raise ONE or you'll end up with the medallions matching, but one door not aligning right where it meets the top of the cabinet. That's why we raised one a little, and moved its matching door down, till the medallions aligned perfectly. Plus they have to be lined up so you can put the little rod through them to 'lock' the doors.
I know I went into detail on that, but it's not hard at all. I just wanted to make sure you understand, and make it easier for you.
The cabinet is heavy, and sturdy and I expect to have it for years. It's lovely.
The picture color is pretty true to the real-life cabinet. I bought spray paint called 'Chinese Red' that matches pretty closely. It was delivered within a few days, tracking worked perfectly, and I would order again, in a heartbeat.
