Like many of the other reviews... it is a lot of work to put together, but it is so worth the effort! I absolutely love the whimsical, yet classic beauty of it. We put it in the dining room and it changed the whole look and made the room feel warmer and richer. LOVE IT!

Love this chandelier, perfect addition to our house. Hardest part was definitely putting it together, but if you are prepared to do that, and work together, it doesn't take long. We used LED vintage style bulbs and it looks even better.

I looked and looked at dining room chandeliers and just could not justify price. Found this beauty and love it. Crystals were a pain to put in. Took a LONG time but it turned out great!

This chandelier is beautiful and different from run-of-the-mill chandeliers! The crystals on the "stems" of the almost dreamlike vines on this lamp are lovely and catch and reflect the six bulbs. The bronze color is almost neutral so it stands alone amongst almost any design style. The installation and assembly are quite simple (although time consuming) because the directions are clear. My husband and I assembled this together and it was a labor of love because now it is the focal point of our lovely home!!! 😌❤️😌❤️😌❤️

Exactly what I was looking for in my Master Bedroom. Enough sparkle to make it feminine but with a rustic touch so its not too glitzy. Love it!

The install was fairly simple, it was the crystals that were a tad tedious, but totally worth it! The one issue we had was with the small nuts that hold the middle branches - one was stripped and would just fall off, along with a couple others that went on, but we could pull them off easily, so we had to go to the hardware store and get new ones for them all, to ensure they'd stay on. We hung it up, then added the crystals (by opening some of the 'bud-like' metal to fit it in, then putting the pin in and squeezing it around it's base, in a curved like fashion, so none of the ends looked pokey and visible. We put it in with a dimmer switch and I couldn't be happier! I also read someone asked if you could paint the candle parts and thought that would be a good idea later down the road. But it does go pretty well with the interior wood trim/rustic decor, so I may just leave it as-is. Very satisfied with the end results (just make better nuts)! :) Thanks!

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"are the lanterns (that hold light bulbs) yellow or white?"

      • A:

The “candlesticks” that hold lightbulbs are ugly ochre yellow, but you can buy a can of bronze spray paint and paint them to match the rest of chandelier

      • A:

I would agree that the color is a ochre/mustard yellow, but the pendant shades over my island are solid gold onyx, so it looks like I coordinated them on purpose.

      • A:

Yes, they are an antique color, but I think they go very well as is, because they look great with the lamp as a whole! All a matter of taste, I guess!!!

      • A:

They are a goldish yellow color. They go very well with the whole look of the chandelier. I have not changed them at all and I am very picky. I love this piece!

    • Q:

"All the little brass stem nuts seem to strip a thread or more when just finger tightening. Is there a trick to get them to actually tighten up?"

      • A:

We were able to tighten the nuts with just finger tightening. Perhaps the nuts that are included with your chandelier are defective?

      • A:

We didn't have a problem with tightening. I would call customer support

      • A:

I had the same problem, and had to buy new nuts. The new ones tightened up without a problem.

      • A:

I went to a local hardware store with the leaf arms and bought nuts (metric 4-07 was the number). A 55 cent investment made them tight and I tossed the stripped ones in the trash. They all stripped during assembling due to over tightening. The ones provided were junk. Just save yourself the headache from the onset. This is the only way I found to tighten the leaf arms.

      • A:

I had the same problem and was only able to prop them in.

    • Q:

      "It is glass"

      • A:

Yes, the crystals are made of glass, optical glass.

      • A:

Yes. It is glass and while it takes a good amount of time to assemble, it's well worth it. The fixture is absolutely beautiful! I get endless compliments from everyone who sees it. They're almost mesmerized lol.

The chandelier is beautiful it might be glass cut but they look like Crystal

Glass and you won't be disappointed. This is a beautiful light! Everyone comments when the come into dinning room!

        Glass; it shimmers beautifully

    • Q:

"Can this be painted before adding crystals? I love the look of it, but really want an antique silver color and not bronze."

      • A:

I'm not sure you could paint it. I guess maybe with spray paint. I love mine with the bronze. It really does go with about anything as it is pretty neutral

      • A:

Yes! I added black to mine before I did any assembling. It turned out great

      • A:

Thanks! Debra, did you spray paint it? Would love to hear any tips you have!

      • A:

Yes it can be painted but with the tubes of picture framing paint touch up called Amaco Rub & Buff Metallic Finish, comes in silver leaf and other colors. It might take two tubes, you might want to use two colors like adding the ebony into the crevices for some shading and dimension then the silver leaf over and around the arms, etc. I used it on an old metal chandelier and it turned out beautiful. I really like the chandelier and haven't changed anything yet. With the Rub & Buff it's very easy to just rub on with a soft cloth and it will dry, you can keep going over it till it's what you like.

      • A:

It's very detailed, but I'm sure that you could paint it!

      • A:

I'm sure you can paint it! Get the antique paint and rub it on. It should be in tube. Good luck!

      • A:

This would be easy to paint but while you're installing all of the crystals you need needle nose pliers which may scratch the new paint off.

      • A:

Actually it looks much more brown in the photo, it came and I was surprised at how bronze it looked - not very antiquey (made up word). I sprayed the all the pieces with an oiled bronze spray paint to darken it up before assembly. It worked beautifully.

    • Q:

"Can the melting candle bulb holders be replaced or painted? They appear orange in the picture."

      • A:

I would think so. I like the color for my room but I would try to paint them if I didn't.

      • A:

They actually are gold, they blend in very well, but just to let you know that there are 160 crystals that have to be put on...it took my electrician 6 hours to install because of the crystals.....and he is a professional...also I wouldn't paint anything that could get heated up.....good luck...

      • A:

love fixture but having trouble getting inner arms of ficture to stay in place. the washers and screws do not seem to hold tight and the arms fall off, HELP

      • A:

I was worried also but they are much less orange in actuality.

    • Q:

"Is there room to add lamp shades over the lights? Or would it look cluttered?"

      • A:

There is no room and it is difficult to add lamp shades over the lights. It would look cluttered.

    • Q:

"Are all of the small crystals glass or plastic?"

      • A:

They are glass and they are not attached you have to attach each one separately.

      • A:

        They are glass

      • A:

The one I bought was NOT glass, more like acrylic. There were not enough little wires to put them all on. Never received the wires I asked for. So sent it back. Was not in love with it. I thought they were very fair & prompt in refunding my money.

      • A:

Oh, all those pins!!! It took me all day to put them on the stems.

    • Q:

"Does this light give off a decent amount of light? So hard to tell with the candelabra bulbs."

      • A:

Yes and most of the time I use a dimmer.

Use 60 watt each and you'll need a dimmer switch to lower the light - excellent

"We want to purchase this light but need to know how heavy it is because we would need to swag it for it to hand to over where our new table is. Does anyone know how much this weighs?"

      • A:

The net weight of this light is 11 lbs.

      • A:

I need the ceiling attachment to fit over a medallion, about 4.5" circle opening. Does this have the standard bell or circle ceiling cap?

      • A:

Not really heavy. Looks much heavier than it really is.

"I have this light fixture from a high end store. I am moving and would like to order this for my new house. One thing I am not happy about with my current one is that the crystals are not very sparkly. They look like cheap glass. Do the crystals on this one sparkle a lot? "

      • A:

We purchased this item over the summer. It is beautiful. It takes some patience as each crystal has to be attached manually. The end result is well worth it. We hung the lamp from a 6 foot extension ladder to allow the lamp to hang at a level where we could reach it easily. The crystals pick up a ton of light, it creates mini prisms all over my dining room!

      • A:

The ones up top where the light bulbs are sparkle. The ones on the lower part where there arw no lights to reflect from do not sparkle. This fixture is a great buy @ the right price. But please be aware you have to put it together. Every crystal (over 150) has to be hand placed. It took me 2+ hours to assemble

      • A:

We purchased this over the summer as well, and yes you must have patients to attach all of the crystals. We have a large mirror in the dining room with the chandelier and it really does sparkle. We are very happy with the purchase.

      • A:

Actually it does depending on what type of bulb you use. If you use a clear crystal bulb, it really illuminates the room with a variety of prism reflection on the walls. The crystals looks like diamonds! Or you can use a frosted bulb for a softer look.

    • Q:

"Is the color a brown or more of a gold"

      • A:

The color is more brown than gold. It's bronze. .

      • A:

The fixture itself is a brown color bronze. The candle covers are a gold tone.

      • A:

Brown with gold candle sticks. Very pretty!

      • A:

Mine looks more like an antique brass (almost greenish), not bronze as it is described. I was planning to spray paint the gold candle holders, but now think I will have to paint the entire thing to get the brinze color. Not happy anoit that, but other than that, it is nice.

      • A:

        Mine is on a dimmer

      • A:

Yes, this can work on a dimmer switch, I love it!

      • A:

Yes it certainly can. We put ours on a dimmer. Btw it is my favorite thing in our brand new house. Love, love, love it. Quick note-wire/install the main part of the chandelier first and then add each arm after you have attached the crystals to them. ( that way you can sit and put crystals on and are not fighting the weight and bulk when hanging.

      • A:

        Yes it can.

      • A:

Yes. I bought three of these chandeliers and love them. I have one on a dimmer.

      • A:

Absolutely. I used clear bulbs which show off the crystals better than the white in my opinion.

"UGH! We hung the chandelier just before the holidays but didn't have time to hang the crystals - in the meantime - somehow in the process of getting new furniture in the dining room - the pins that hold the crystals onto the chandelier went missing :( Went to the craft store and bought pins and the color matched nicely but they're too soft - so they bend when you get them half through - took me forever just to hang a couple and the ones I hung with the craft store pins do not seem as sturdy as the few we had hung when we first put up the light. Wonder if I can somehow get some replacement pins - really eager to finish this task and have the chandelier looking as beautiful as it can look!"

Unfortunately, we do not offer additional chain length within our inventory. You should be able to purchase extra chain that will match at your local hardware store.

"Able to order the extra chain on Overstock? If not what is the manufacturer website?"

    • Q:

"Would this be too big in a dining room with 9 ft. High ceilings that are not vaulted?"

      • A:

No, I don't think so - we put it in our living room (9 foot ceilings, but not vaulted), and it's perfect. Also, I'm not sure if they changed the model, but we didn't need to paint the pins, either - and you actually can bend them by hand when attaching the crystals, which is much easier than using pliers. They might look like they are sticking out a bit when you're assembling them, but once it's hanging you will never notice a thing. Like others have suggested, you DEFINITELY should attach the crystals to the individual arms first - then attach the arms, and then hang the chandelier. It is SO beautiful. Oh, and yes, we did paint the "candles" - that was the only sticking point, and that was no problem - painted them with wall paint. It took my husband and I about 4 hours total - and that was with the "help" of a toddler.

      • A:

this light is not as large as maybe it appears, i have have so many compliments on it. you can always return it, i'm pretty sure you'll end up keeping it it's beautiful....

      • A:

We have ours in our dining nook, and it fits perfectly. I say go for it, you won't be disappointed. I painted the candle sticks as well, super easy.

      • A:

Actually you can hang the chandelier and then attach the arms with crystals attached. Less weight and bulk to deal with while hanging.
