Got this to catch a fox, have not been successful, but did catch a possum. The traps are easy to use, I do wish the trigger flap where the animal steps on wasn't quite so hard to push down. Seems like the animal has to put quite a bit of weight on it to trigger the door.
Animal control was too busy to come by, but the trap was not too busy to do it's job. First try nothing, second try, our cat, third time; a charm. The charm being a large raccoon, domicile; the garage attic and enjoying cat food. Don't know if his new location is as cozy but his address has changed.
What a well solidly built animal trap with a lot of empathy built into it's design . It in no way hurts the animal You can go to bed not feeling guilty. And best of all , it is made in America.
No quibble about product quality and customer service. Five star on every count. (OK, maybe a bit too much post-sale email marketing hoo-hah.) One area that needs attention is the post-capture logistics. There should be a FAQ section on tips for transporting and release of trapped animals (especially skunks). There also should be (I know this is delicate) further discussion about some of the state laws or directives that prohibit live trapping by amateurs and why, (rabies spread, etc.).
