  • light system sucks.

both pump and light had to be replaced within 6 months. If you are willing to maintain and replace parts very cool fountain!!! have to replace light every 4 months. It just "dissolves" in water. manufacturer is aware of problem and very helpful.

The pieces you had to put together didn't line up correctly so the fountain isn't a straight line. The hose was too short and the pump dangles instead of sitting on the bottom. The top piece isn't aligned correctly and you have to force the screw in the hole. The water just shoots out of one spot instead of flowing fully down the fountain. It just shoots water straight out of one spot and wets up the floor. Very disappointing.

  • build quality poor

The item looks OK when put together. The variation of color shown in the picture is not even close to what I received. Mine was mostly greenish blue slate, with some brown bronze strips. The screw holes in this hood didn't line up. I had to stress the frame and put the bolt in at an angle to make it fit. I dared not tighten it down all the way. Also, the pump is supposed to sit at the bottom of the tank with the hose attached to it. Well the hose it came with was too short so the pump dangles in the water and it causes it to vibrate against the side. Overstock is sending me a new one. So we will see. The tray that you put at the bottom to sit the stones on doesnt line up with the light very well. Luckily, the stones help cover it up. Also, the slate strips attach to the back of the non-slate back. In other words, only the very front strips were slate, the rest is cement or something. On mine it wasn't attached very well and its a shame. Overall, one of the poorer quality products fro overstock.

Very pretty, splashes on floor a little so I have to clean up occasionally. I have it inside but on tile floors, probably wouldn't be suitable for wood floors

The water does not flow along the full width of the fountain; have taken apart to try and find the reason but still not flowing well. the paint peeled off in two areas revealing a plastic type of material; white and not the true slate as was described.
