I could not be happier with this cuckoo clock what a bargain my husband's not good at pulling the chains on thrill it's battery operated I lived in Frankfurt Germany and I've had many cuckoo clocks this is by far my new favorite
This clock is small and has the charm of a German made clock. It's easy to get up and running right out of the box. Runs on batteries and has two sound settings. People go around in a constant circle. Nothing "pops" out of the clock on the hour. Does NOT have a night mode.
First, on the positive side the clock is very unique looking and it looks like it is very well made. Unfortunately, no matter what I did I could not get the pendulum to keep swinging and the cuckoo would not sound on the clock even though it was keeping time correctly. Unfortunately the directions that came with the clock are very limited. I'm in the process of sending the clock back to Overstock and am hopeful that the next one will work correctly.
I am giving this clock a 3 rating because I dislike giving harsh reviews. The first clock I bought was a return and it would not keep time at all not to mention no chimes, no cuckoo. Then I went ahead and purchased a brand new one, because it is adorable and I love the Westminster chime, however, the brand new clock is not working either. NO sounds whatsoever and the time is amiss. I have no other option then to not recommend this clock. Aesthetically its adorable, but functionally, it leaves much to be desired.
This clock is smaller than I expected. I’ve never bought a cuckoo clock before, so I wasn’t sure what I was ordering. My mom wanted one with a bird that came out. This one does not have that. If you’re sitting close to it you can hear it chime. Otherwise you will not hear it.
Very small and coo coo or chime very tinny
