worked great first two years. rinsed tank, used the bullet filters etc, but went to use it the 3rd year and water ran out everywhere. With the price I paid I was hoping to get a few more years before replacing.
It really is one of the quietest units / on the down side the unit seems to alert for a change of filter based on time of use and not on resistance of the filter (DOP).
Actually, this is my second - I bought the larger Holmes unit and liked it so much I bought a second. Electrostatic air cleaners don't get rid of the allergens - they just make them stick to the walls or fall to the floor. A HEPA unit (like the Holmes) catches allergens and removes them from circulation. The big pluses - large HEPA filter surface area, large air movement, and reasonable replacement filter prices.
