  • Not as nice as the picture

These tiles are not plastic (which I knew reading the description), they are a cardboard-like material. The self-adhesive is really bad, you will definitely need to buy 2-sided heavy duty tape from Wal Mart or Home Depot, the self-adhesive strips literally held them up on my wall for about 15 minutes before they came crashing down. After some debate for about 1 or 2 days, I ended up taking these down and throwing them away. In the picture it looks like the tiles are flush to create that cool pattern / effect, when in reality, even if you push the tiles right up against each other, you can still tell they are tiles. In my opinion, it comes out looking like cheap cardboard glued to a wall (which is really what it is). Maybe if these were $ at Ikea, I'd buy. But definitely not worth the $ I paid on here with the designer named attached to it.

  • Not sure how long this is going to last

So when its up, it does look cool but its a paperish material so I can't imagine it would clean well. It reminds me of an egg carton. Its also very difficult to get a straight cut and to cut around outlets since your outlet covers won't go over this product so you need to cut around the outlet and outlet cover which is almost impossible to make a straight and nice cut. Its extremely expensive for what you are getting, imo. I will definitly paint it just to give it a surface with a better chance of being able to wash it, just in case. I was hoping it was more of a plastic. I know the description says bamboo but bamboo comes in so many textures its really hard to know what you are getting. Its really like a cardboard.

  • Installation of 3D wall tiles

Just finished having the 3-D Basket Weave tiles installed on a feature wall in my guest bath. They look spectacular, but are a bit tricky to get to stay on the wall. Couple of suggestions: Spray the whole wall area AND the complete back of the entire tile with spray adhesive before mounting (work in sections) We did not do that application to the first tiles installed at the top of the wall and they kept trying to come off. We finally resorted to a brad gun and stapled each corner. Then simply went back with a bit of caulking and paint to cover the staple and the issue was resolved. They really looks terrific and added a wonderful look to the wall behind a free-standing slipper tub. Painted mine a semi-gloss white, but thinking of doing a wall in my living room and will paint them an accent color.
