this rug feel a bit slick, I think because of the polyester fiber. The rug has a nap to it so the rug binding does show on one end and it is white cotton. The grey color is close to the black family, so it looks a bit off next to my slate grey which has a touch of blue to it. The backing does not have any non skid substance to it, so you may need a pad. I was hoping for a more glamorous feel from this rug, but it does not have it.
Very nice rug for the price. Simple in that it is a solid color, but b/c of the raised chenille pattern, the lighting and different angles give it a nice two-tone effect. This is a thin rug, and while soft, if you are looking for a thick plush rug, this may not be the one for you. Bought a 2nd one for my bathroom where they work perfectly.
My bad. I thought this matched another wool Safavieh rug I had purchased. While they are similar, they are not the same and this one is polyester. That said. I love the Safavieh wools rugs and must have 5 of them. Even this polyester rug is nice. Fortunately, it isn't adjacent to the first rug. So make sure you check the name of the series, the country of origin as well as the material if you want to buy two matching rugs. All of their rugs are a good buy.
