I ordered the red/ivory/grey 7x9 version of this rug. The red is a true, vibrant red. The rug is thick with a striking design. However, when my rug arrived there are small dark spots on the ivory where it adjoins the grey insets. The spots look like grease marks. They are not really noticeable at a distance, but of course once I spotted them my eye is now drawn to them. I did not attempt to clean them beyond vacuuming the rug--I was afraid I would make them worse. I decided to live with the issue as the rug was going into a room I am not often in and my husband assures me no one else will notice the small spots. So, just FYI for you perfectionists out there!
I bought the 2x3 to "try it out"before buying the larger 10x14. I think it's a great rug if you're looking for a natural fiber rug. Swapped it out for an oriental rug in my living room to make it lighter, more neutral and less formal. Love the texture! Like a boucle sweater! It's much softer than you fear a jute rug might be, though I wouldn't get it for a room where kids are sitting/playing on or where you frequently walk barefoot. Color is very accurate in the photos. Neutral in an ivory/sandy way, does not lean yellow/camel like many sisals or green like seagrass. Could also work nicely with grays.
