The color is more cherry than dark oak, so this table was more red than the dark brown I wanted. It is very sturdy and the perfect size for my space, so overall I am pleased.

So far so good. Put these chairs along with dining room table together a few weeks ago. Sturdy. the seats are comfortable on their own but i purchased seat cushions to protect the wood. the rustic look is a bit overdone in some places i would say. It was easy to put together. Took my husband and i two days to put together four chairs and the table top.

Beautiful and sturdy
This is a beautifully table. We've had 2 friends order it after seeing ours. The extended pieces remove easily and we store under a bed. Our friend who assembled it for us said it took forever...but the end result was perfect for us.

This took me and my husband (a woodworker) 4 hours to assemble and one trip to the hardware store to get more wood glue. Being that many other reviewers reported similar stories, I wasn't surprised. It was true to the description online, and does also have some random "distressed" marks on the table that are super sparse that others had mentioned. This is a redish/cherry color. I thought for the price, it was fair that it was so complicated and took so long to assemble.

The table arrived quickly and was well packed. It took my husband a while to put it together, but I am happy to we ordered it. It was our anniversary gift! Great find on a sale.

It will not be symmetrical if you are using just one leaf.

Yes. When you are assembling the table, you can choose which side to add the leaf. You can choose not to use them at all. It is a long table without the leaves as well. FYI- To assemble the table, it has to lay upside down flat on the floor.

Neither have I. We put the table together one leaf is fine and even with the table and very sturdy. The other is not even with the table. We used shems, but it is still not level. It is off about 1/8 of an inch. It is sturdy just not level.
