This rug is exactly as described and pictured, except the color is more gray than tan . . . which I had read from another review on another size of this rug, so I was expecting it. And frankly I prefer it. But they should clearly label this. The wool is soft, though not super thick, and feels good under your feet. Only giving it 4 stars because I would have loved this to be a true 6x9 rather than slightly smaller.
I agree with the other reviewer that the tans in the picture are more grey in person, which is what I wanted. The colors are beautiful, and the weave looks high quality. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is a bit scratchy feeling underfoot. I hope that will soften with wear. It's for my nursery and I will need to put a blanket down before laying the baby on the floor. The tag that came with the rug said 100% wool, even though the description says 80% wool / 20% cotton. It is thin and lightweight, which gives it a casual look that compliments well with the high-quality weave and pattern.
Excellent quality wool rug with lovely Moroccan design in brown. This rug looks great in my bedroom with a brown silk bedspread, and textured throw. It brings together many fabrics and details into a cohesive style that looks like a designer decorated. Wool is soft underfoot. Color is more off-white and natural, not a white white, which I think is perfect. I originally bought the 4x6 but had to return it for the 6x9. If you have a queen sized bed and you want a traditional look, you need at least 6x9 so that the rug can extend on both sides of the bed. So glad I made this change because the symmetry brings out the rug's elegance. No problems with shedding. This rug was a good buy and I highly recommend.
