My husband and I were looking to replace a polished brass chandelier in our newly purchased condo. We were looking for a five light chandelier and one that gave enough light to play board games or card games without eye strain. This chandelier was the perfect choice. The brownish rust color almost perfectly matches the wood furniture that we have in the room and does not clash with the doorknobs and other hardware that are still polished brass. The simplicity of the piece gives a much more modern look to the dining area. We inserted 60 watt bulbs and we have it on a dimmer. Dimming the lights for meals is fine and the full wattage for card or game time is plenty for us to be able to see properly. Nicely priced as well, I did my research at the other online lighting sites.

  • Great chandelier

Great size and shape! The glass is frosted with an opaque white marbled effect throughout. Definitely a "true" white. The finish on the rest of the chandelier was a surprise but works well. Although the color was advertised as an antique gold, it's more of a light blond/brown matte finish -- very nice look for a slightly modern update in an older home. One note on the lights: it takes five 60-watt bulbs, which is waaaay too bright for dinner. Either put it on a dimmer switch or use lower wattage bulbs. Overall it's a great chandelier and I would definitely purchase this again.
