These chairs are surprisingly comfortable, as the back support flexes somewhat when you lean backwards, so they are not rigid and have a "bounce" to them. The bottoms are shaped well also, giving side support so that you don't feel like you are going to slide off. The metal leg supports are robust, and seem well-made. And the color was perfect, a sort-of 50"s bright lime green color, which went well in our kitchen. We have no idea why we didn't order chairs like these sooner!
