Let me be clear, this does brew coffee fast. But the grounds basket won't stay closed so every time I try to make coffee I have to stand there and hold it closed. Can't use a reusable filter because the water can't drain fast enough so all the grounds end up in the pot. There is no caraf removal stop so when you pick up the caraf to poor your coffee it drips coffee from the grounds basket. Do your self a favor and find a better coffee maker!
